Captain... Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Blimey, so is Jordan the real deal? I wasn't that impressed in the winter, but he is on fire at the moment, a lot of talk about him being called up for the test side.
surrifox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I wish I could really believe what I'm seeing - the betting stuff has tainted contests with Asian sides - sad but there you are
Corky Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 This series is mental, three thrashings, two by us and one by them.
Captain... Swarles Barkley Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Can't remember many ODIs that have been shorter than that. Weird weird series
Captain... Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Most 20/20 games aren't over that quickly, would have been gutting if it rained, would have been a no result as we didn't bat for 20 overs...
Leeds_Fox95 Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Is there any planned matches at Headingley this year? I've been abroad with uni for a couple of months and haven't checked the schedule. If anyone's coming up for any cricket this summer, if you know Headingley and the surrounding area you'll understand parking is a nightmare. If anybody's coming up and you're a leicester fan you're more than welcome to lash the car on my drive (no charge we don't use it anyway). Could probably fit two on there as well. Cricket ground is a 5 minute walk away, you can see the rugby pitch from the top't'road, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Swarles Barkley Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Well thats going to be controversial. Dont care if its in the rules or not,it was sportmansship at its worst
surrifox Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Well thats going to be controversial. Dont care if its in the rules or not,it was sportmansship at its worst yes it is. Obviously suspending the throwing rule isn't enough for the cheating feckers
Guest MattP Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Really? He gave the warning first, he was entitled to run him out.
Swarles Barkley Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Really? He gave the warning first, he was entitled to run him out. The way i saw it was he had a little moan at the umpire but didnt actually tell Buttler that if he did it again he would run him out. I may be wrong, if he had warned him then fair enough, but still a poor way to get someone out
surrifox Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Really? He gave the warning first, he was entitled to run him out. if he had been taking the piss and backing up looking to steal a run maybe - not on this occasion

I may be wrong, if he had warned him then fair enough, but still a poor way to get someone out Well Buttler should know why he stopped. Thought Bumble and Athers had it spot on, if you don't want that to happen then stand where you are supposed too. What's ok? An inch? A yard, can he run half way pitch, if they take a single and Buttler is in by an inch then he stole his run. Did nothing wrong, I'd probably have given him ba final warning like Gayle does but he caught him once and let him off so no sympathy.
Corky Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Let's be honest, we don't have a recent history of upholding the spirit of cricket, do we?
Voll Blau Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 You can't let non-strikers take the piss with you if you're a bowler. They both know the rules. You can still back up well while staying in your crease, it's not hard.
Steven Posted 3 June 2014 Posted 3 June 2014 Really? He gave the warning first, he was entitled to run him out. Quite. This.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Nothing wrong with it, i've been telling my mates for years there needs to be more Mankading as the non strikers have been taking the piss for a long time.
purpleronnie Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Nothing wrong with it, i've been telling my mates for years there needs to be more Mankading as the non strikers have been taking the piss for a long time. Thankfully it wasn't an englishman who did it, not sure I could stand glenn chappel whinging about it.
Aus Fox Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Thankfully it wasn't an englishman who did it, not sure I could stand glenn chappel whinging about it. Is this the same Chappel of underarm bowling fame...
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 June 2014 Posted 5 June 2014 Thankfully it wasn't an englishman who did it, not sure I could stand glenn chappel whinging about it. The English cricketer?
Grandad. Posted 5 June 2014 Author Posted 5 June 2014 Plunkett recalled to the Test squad. My only fear with this 'run out' is like many people have said, will bowlers constantly keep looking to do this now, will kids in youth cricket start doing it? Buttler should have known better though, daft.
