FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 With some big name players been linked with us , how much do you think Nigel will spend this summer?
kingfox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 how much do you think Nigel will spend this summer? £10 on new trainers.
Stadt Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 How longs a piece of string? The distance between both ends
SomalianFox15 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Pearson isn't the sort of manager to spend big. 10 million max I reckon.
Hack Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 It wouldn't surprise me if we spent around 15 mil all said and done. So unless we can get on a free the likes of Barry and Lescott, all our expensive transfers will happen post the World Cup. it is only 16 days away. Most agents managers and directors of football will be heading there and I am sure the cattle on show will be being offered. It doesn't mean we will be buyers of player at the WC, but I think all the business to be done will be after the big show.
Bausor Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 The distance between both ends And whats the different between both ends?
fox123 Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 I don't think it matters what we spend. What is more important is that what ever we spend, we spend it wisely. Pearson has done well so far in the transfer market, but I think he will be judged more this transfer window than any other that he has been involved in since he has been here. Bigger budget than he is used to dealing with and pressure to deliver. I can imagine 3, maybe 4 more players coming in - all under his transfer budget. Should we need strengthening come January, I think more will be available.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Around the 25 million mark this summer with another possible 15 million needed in January if necessary.
LCCFox96 Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 £10-15mil. Mostly deals in cheaper deals/free with a fewer big money signings too.
foxfanazer Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 With the nature of our first 3 signings I'm surprised people think we'll spend anywhere near £20-25m. Suppose it depends on how many players you'll think we'll sign
Happy Fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 I think we will sign a higher profile free agent Gareth Barry who will command big wages but will be worth it.
dpjfox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 the biggest funds will be used in January, to either push us to safey or get us out of the shit
RizLCFC Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 the biggest funds will be used in January, to either push us to safey or get us out of the shit I'd rather we spend some money now then panic buy in January and be held to ransom, if we're struggling that is, which I don't think we will be.
Thracian Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Not a lot the way things are going and the speed time is passing! After an initial flourish which is hardly likely to make much difference to our squad given the departure of the genuinely pacy Dyer, I'm underwhelmed so far. Sodding holidays and world cup .... is there anything more frustrating than listening to all the media hype about England and then witnessing the predictably dismal outcome? Rooney out wide? We used to do daft things like that with Hughes and Oakley. Come on Leicester, let's get into action mode and show we're going to compete in The Premiership instead of just making up the numbers after being linked to more people than the Gilroes graveyard. Have we even got a manager for next season yet?
Hack Posted 17 June 2014 Posted 17 June 2014 Thracian You can't be serious suggesting that due to our activity so far is the basis of your views on our entire preseason signing activity. It made a lot of sense to do the free transfer buys early. But we are in the middle of the wc where lots of potential talent is on display. How many major league teams have made big buys already. Etc for Costa to Chelsea. The major action will happen I am sure from mid July to the end of the window. Everyone needs to take a chill pill.
