Grantham Fox Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 He looks like he can score a 'spectacular' goal, and he has a lot of potential, but would he be good enough now? If its a loan, I think we could do better, if we're signing him, then it'd look like a good signing for the future.

Itsthejoeker Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Could be another Development squad signing like Barmby and Kennedy? Academy? He was playing first team football at Birmingham last season.
Steven Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Academy? He was playing first team football at Birmingham last season. For squad number purposes.

I know we can only have two domestic loans in a season but I think Pearson will be looking to buy all his targets and not rely on the loan system. So maybe bringing in loans for players who potentially could be good with the option to buy wouldn't be a bad idea,
Buce Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Academy? He was playing first team football at Birmingham last season. My grandma could have made the Brum team last season.
Marky mark Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 So would mine ........ She's been dead twenty years #ripnanna
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 8 June 2014 Posted 8 June 2014 Is everyone suggesting he has a lot of potential purely because he has 2 YouTube clips of great goals? Yes he has a nice technique with his striking. But I can gurantee most on here haven't seen him play like myself.
Grantham Fox Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Could be another Development squad signing like Barmby and Kennedy? Yeah, maybe. I'd like him here, s'long as it is a permanent transfer, whether he plays in the development squad, or maybe we buy him then loan him out straight away, as I don't think he would make that much of an impact at that level yet...

Yes he has a nice technique with his striking. But I can gurantee most on here haven't seen him play like myself. They were good goals. And a player of his age, who had that much of an impact on helping Birmingham survive the drop last season shows a bit of the quality and mentality of him, I think. Looks like he works quite hard, and will only get better. He would of also learnt from the likes of Barry, Yaya and Silva etc. He'd also know Kennedy from the Man City development squad, maybe friends, have a word? I'd like him here, but not on loan.

Players that made an impact where like Danny Ings & Ross McCormack. They luckily avoided relegation & he didn't stand out massively in a awful side. So if he didn't make much of an impact in the championship what makes him good enough for the prem? With respect to him scoring good goals, yes they were nice. However Gallagaher hit some peaches for us, does that mean we should get him back for the first team?

He weren't there all season, like Macheda, if Huws and Macheda did not go Birmingham on loan, then Doncaster would still be in the championship. I believe they both helped Birmingham when they arrived on loan. I didn't say he was good enough for the prem. If its a loan, I said we could do a lot better, if its a permanent contract, could be a good bit of business, as he has potential and will get better, whether that means we play him in the development squad or loan him out straight away.
chapero82 Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 If you went on youtube for signing up you would think Ben Marshall is premier league class for goals
LCCFox96 Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Nobody is judging this guy on those two youtube videos. Most people are saying this guy has talent because as a youngster, going into a struggling Birmingham side in late January (I think), and then putting in positive performances to help them steer clear of relegation. In amongst that he showed signs of sheer quality - such as, but not exclusively, the two goals he did score. Particularly as a midfielder who has only scored 2 in his so far short lived career. Huws had an impact for a relegation form side. For a midfielder 2 goals and handful of assists is a decent return in half a season and I'm sure that left Lee Clarke delighted. Probably meant he stood out too. What were you expecting - him to match McCormack's or Ings' goal tally on his first spell in the championship from midfield. It's such an illogical argument it's not true.

Alex_LCFC Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 He'd cost quite a lot though.young quality and hungry would be well worth a few mill
goose2010 Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Little bit of background on him he is actually the first player to sign a pro contract through the Michael Owen School of Excellence. Owen rated him at the best British Centre Mid he has seen in recent times.
LeicesterBran Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Would be a decent signing for us, is good techinally and has a good strike on him. Plus he was impressive on loan for Birmingham last season.
Alex_LCFC Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Isn't he a welsh international ? Andy king could have something to do with this ?
lcfcsnow Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Isn't he a welsh international ? Andy king could have something to do with this ? Not sure he would if he knew it was his own replacement
Alex_LCFC Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Not sure he would if he knew it was his own replacement yeh Spose so
Tielemans63 Posted 9 June 2014 Posted 9 June 2014 Seems very much to fit the NP mould. Young, British, relatively low profile.
