Seems we (everton) have you lot in preseason and first match of the season Just wanted to gauge your opinion of our club, learn a bit about your club as i don't know all that much (and proper football clubs are lived and breathed by the fans!) Also feel free to ask about away days at goodison as a lot of away fans often ask about where to drink etc on matchday

You seem like a well run club. just wish you would win a trophy to repay the fans. Great young manager so could have a good FA cup run next season. 1st game of the season i fancy us to do well against you. The Kingpower will be buzzing. Can defo see us get off to a winning start. Generally it depends - around 1500 in each tier of the bullens so about 3000 if a large following from a club not known for trouble arrives - if you're going for lower bullens try and get near the front though as the viee from the back is horrendous

Finnaldo Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Definitely preferable to Liverpool. Nit many particularly nobbish fans, nice old ground, and an extremely talented young manager. One of the few Prem clubs I actually like. As for a question, what do you think of the new badge?

Lacks the charm of the old one, less cartoony than last seasons Last season i chose to buy a polo with the old efc intertwined logo - this season i'll probs buy the new crest -although the old one still holds pole position in my heart

Very decent fans (though it's hard to really gauge when you haven't played someone in ten years so things may have changed), one of the six grounds in the top flight I've yet to visit and intend to this season. Very good manager who I don't have a bad word to say about. Good team who are easy on the eye though will take some work given the departing loanees. Good luck to you.

Everton are often undervalued when talking about the bigger clubs in this country, the press and other fans bang on about Leeds, for example, yet Everton have won 6 more league titles, four more FA Cups and have been in the top flight for 60 unbroken years. Huge club with a successful past.

Never had trouble with city compared to their neighbourswho always come down for trouble Tbh last straw with united fans was last season when they decided to try and get us to join in with their hillsborough nonesense To everyone's credit that day they were shouted down
StanSP Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Got a real soft spot for Everton as I've got family and good friends who support them. Took one of my uni mates up to Everton (we lived in London) for his birthday for a match against Spurs. Thankfully Everton won 1-0 so it was a good present for him, Jelavic scoring! The only bad thing was that we sat in the Lower Bullens (I think) and the view wasn't too great. Could see all of the pitch but when the ball went up in the air and you'd follow it with your eyes you'd end up looking at the roof of the stand . From the outside, if I wasn't supporting Leicester, Everton would perhaps be one of the clubs I'd follow the most (I suppose I wasn't chosen!). They're a proper friendly club with not much to dislike about them. A unreal amount of history behind them and it's a shame Goodison Park can't be expanded on and a further shame that one day you'll be leaving there. One of the older traditional stadiums left in the Premier League and my mate and I made it our mission to get there early so we can have a good walk around and get a feel for the place. It was his first time there too so he was obviously loving every second of it. I'm glad Roberto Martinez proved virtually everyone wrong (myself included) about his abilities as a manager. Gives youth a chance and gets a club in to Europe at first time of asking. I just hope he and the likes of Barkley, Howard, Jagielka, Baines etc get off to a slow start

My brother in law is an Evertonian and many of my other friends support us as a second team, with Everton being their first. Always thought it was the Gary Lineker link myself, but, like us they are a family club and your Chairman is one of the best owners I think in football - a fan too, which always makes it mean more. Roberto Martinez is a great manager and I am sure under his stewardship you will go far. As for day one (as lets face it, we could beat you or visa versa in preseason and it effectively means very little) I think we could surprise you as our team is built on the ethos of that never-say-die attitude but come the reverse fixture and if we happened to take a point I'd be very pleased. United are one club I cannot stand. How do you think we'll do in our first season back? Better or worse than the other two promoted clubs?

Seeing as i've little knowledge of your team how is your squad? Who's your main players and how do you play? Squad is too good for the Championship obviously, was almost a procession towards the end and the only team to beat us after mid-December was Brighton in April when the players had been easing off and enjoying promotion a few days earlier. Whether they can step up is another challenge. Main players will be Drinkwater and James, who won't get the media recognition they deserve, Riyad Mahrez and Anthony Knockaert have a lot of flair and will have a lot of exposure, Kasper Schmeichel too due to his family connections. Marc Albrighton is an interesting signing. Jamie Vardy's pace and energy will be a handful. Based on last season we'll play an open, entertaining game. The stats showed we had most possession in the opposition half in the Championship, though we can mix it up and go direct. I don't think we'll be dull and the neutrals will enjoy watching us, so the first game should be a cracker.
