Dan Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 It feels like Barca and PSG play each other all the time. Seems like they're destined to play Ibrahimovic every time. They went on that run of drawing Milan something daft like four times in three seasons as well. Atletico v Real gets played time and time again yet in my opinion it's still as interesting as ever. It's so tough to call. Surely Real are going to turn up against them soon? I'd love to be at the Calderon that night.
Fox92 Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Bit retarded. City have money to burn, a reasonably big ground, won the league twice in three years, have better players in Aguero, Toure and Silva than anyone on United's books, can guarantee champions league football every year and pay ridiculous wages that dwarf most other sports clubs world wide. United are a fallen giant in transition who currently have **** all but their reputation. You rekon top players grow up wanting to play for Manchester City? No change. They can have millions and millions but they'll never be as big as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and from this Country Manchester United (and Liverpool too although they aren't as good as they once were). Every top player would choose these teams over Manchester City. Players like Toure and Silva are amazing footballers yet put them alongside the likes of Iniesta and Schweinsteiger and they are made to look average. Our top clubs have players that the likes of Barcelona and Bayern don't want. Toure, Di Maria, Fabregas etc.
Samilktray Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 if Man City offer enough money they could beat all of those clubs. Liverpool and Man Utd especially. Youre naive if you think otherwise
Fox92 Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I dunno. I'm listening to 5live and they said the same as what I said. Would enough money alone really persuade a top player? I don't think so.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I dunno. I'm listening to 5live and they said the same as what I said. Would enough money alone really persuade a top player? I don't think so. It would if they were a side like Man City, champions of England and consistent Champions League qualifiers, yes. You're making it sound as if City are some no mark Qatari side. Theoretically you're a huge prospect in the world of football - Man City are in the Champions League and want to throw a ****ing obscene amount of cash your way. Liverpool (for example) do too, but they're in the Europa League and the wage is a little more modest. What do you do? Go to Liverpool on the basis that they've a more decorated history?

Good point there. And would I go to Liverpool? Maybe. Not just because of their history, mind. You've got more chance of winning trophies at Manchester City at the minute though. I'm not debating or anything, I'm just looking for what other people think.
Samilktray Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Had City managed to win the league before they signed Aguero, Silva and Yaya? Edit: Had they even secured champions league football yet?
Stadt Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Had City managed to win the league before they signed Aguero, Silva and Yaya? Edit: Had they even secured champions league football yet? I don't know without checking but I'm fairly sure they'd won the league beforeYep, twice - they've won the European cup winners' cup too
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I dunno. I'm listening to 5live and they said the same as what I said. Would enough money alone really persuade a top player? I don't think so. What's it got to do with 5ive? Jesus, it was bad enough when they had Noel Gallagher on MOTD.
Fox92 Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 What's it got to do with 5ive? They are giving their opinion just like we do on here?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 They are giving their opinion just like we do on here? Which one was it? Abz?
Fox92 Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Which one was it? Abz? Kevin Kilbane was on. Chapman presenting as always.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 Kevin Kilbane was on. Chapman presenting as always. Oh. Don't remember them. They must have been later after J left.
Samilktray Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I don't know without checking but I'm fairly sure they'd won the league before Yep, twice - they've won the European cup winners' cup too I meant league as in Premier League though
Stadt Posted 20 March 2015 Posted 20 March 2015 I meant league as in Premier League thoughWell no because only Man U, Blackburn, Arsenal and Chelsea had won the pl before them
iker0828 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals draw: Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid PSG vs Barcelona FC Porto vs Bayern Munich Juventus vs AS Monaco Quarter-finals: Draw 20 March 1st Leg: April 14-15 2nd Leg: April 21-22 Semi-finals: Draw 24 April, matches 5-6 May & 12-13 May Final: Saturday 6 June
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 Either Fez's reference has gone completely over Fox92's head or the latter is pulling off a superb double bluff.
Fox92 Posted 21 March 2015 Posted 21 March 2015 It did make me check my spelling, I thought Fez was playing on a spelling mistake but obviously not because I put '5live' not '5ive'. Still, very good though.
ScouseFox Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 got a weird feeling real might do what they did to bayern last year to atleti tonight and absolutely obliterate them. not sure why. hope it's a good game either way.
ronnup Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Anyone know a stream for the champions league? Radio? Anything?!?!
Carl the Llama Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Anyone know a stream for the champions league? Radio? Anything?!?! I know of nothing of the sort so there's categorically no reason to check in your inbox for a link.
Mrfox452 Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 Never knew Varane was that quick. The guy is rapid.
Finnegan Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 That's absolutely class from Koke. Brilliant reaction to Ramos being a dick.
ScouseFox Posted 14 April 2015 Posted 14 April 2015 mandzukic is so angry whilst ramos just delicately puts his hair back into place
