Tbf mate I haven't seen any 'rimming' or going overboard about them? Seen plenty say that what they have achieved is an incredible achievement given the comparative resources in Spain, which it absolutely is. No rimming, just fact.

People can't have balanced, sensible views on the internet. Apparently everyone's an extremist.

The same people were claiming everyone was "bumming" Dortmund when they got to the champions league final. When you call them on it they post fishing smilies and act like they're just on the troll.

Bottom line is, some people are contrary as **** and immediately moan about everything that becomes popular. Then, weirdly, with football, have the density to call you the hipster. Weird.

Funny that when an English side plays like that in Europe they get ripped to shreds by the media but Athletico just get rimmed.

Maybe I should stop using social media as much, you get see all sorts of things hyping certain teams up. It's been a lot worse since they won la liga. Not saying they're not a good team by any means, but when one of the "big" teams doesn't win a league title everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon. It happened with Many City when they brought their way to premier league success because from my point of view so many people have a fascination with having to be different these days.

Agree with what AKCJ has just said as well.

lol Henry talking some absolute bollocks as usual.  Sky must be absolutely shitting themselves every time he opens his mouth, £4,000,000 a year for that shite  :nigel:

Makes Jamie Carragher sound like Voltaire.

Well, no. Admittedly the only media I have heard on this was a discussion on Sky where they were asking the question whether a really big side (any one of the English clubs) would be satisfied playing like Atletico and the answer was a resounding 'no'.

On social media, I have not seen one person say anything other than Real deserved to win (comfortably, I might add).

I wonder if Spanish fans were having the same discussion about Liverpool last season when they were playing some of the best football in Europe. Would half of them be accusing each other of 'rimming' too? There's going overboard and there's paying a suitable level of respect for the achievements and (usual) style of a side that deserves it, which Atletico definitely do since Simeone took over.

Tbf mate you support Hibs. Everyone knows you have to support either Celtic or Rangers in Scotland. Can't be rimming a tinpot capital side; definition of hipster.

Feels to me this has a Real Madrid - FC Bayern Munich final written all over it.

What are the odds of Madrid and Barcelona not paired together in the semi-finals?

Do you really not understand the difference between say, Celtic or Atletico doing it against Barca or Real, and Chelsea doing it every other week?

Well I dunno, they were paired together in 2011 so that might count your inference that UEFA would rig it out of the window surely?

Cracking semi-final line up, a proper 1990's-early 2000's feel to it with Juventus in there too. The way they've fought their way up to become an elite team in Europe again is great. As someone who latched onto them when I was a kid and got a Juve shirt for my 10th birthday I think I'd go weak at the knees if they somehow won it.

Interesting dynamics though, Bayern destroyed Barcelona in the 2013 semi-final, Madrid destroyed Bayern in the 2014 semi-final. If Real get schooled it'll be three years in a row the perceived best in Europe have been deposed, though Madrid aren't favourites this year.

Barcelona look imperious. I'd love to see a Bayern-Barcelona final though Juventus-Madrid would be a 1990's nostalgia overload.

Hopefully not another classic. Boring now.

Bayern Real would be a great game. Greatest respect to Juve but they'll look like a brew bye to any of those three mind.

I'm not convinced Juve are all that. Glad to see them in the semis but they are the undoubted weak link in there for me. I'll be amazed if they're in the final.

Arsenal should be absolutely ashamed to concede three at home to Monaco.

funny that monaco scored 3 goals in 1 game vs arsenal and only scored 4 in the other 9 they played in the comp.

Can't quite believe, given all their riches, that an injury to Modric means that Real are playing Ramos in the central midfield.
