Didnt the Mirror first announce we were interested? Seems legit. If he has been working hard on his fitness during off season... He could be ready. The role he will play will hardly be box to box and he won't cover much ground so its not a case of him having to be 100% fit. If he played in a 3 man midfield behind Drinky and James, it could be the difference!

Today's the day when this thread goes mental come 5pm when nothing has been announced. I hope otherwise! Because there is no other club involved its not surprising that its not been announced yet and will be announced as and when they feel like it. This would be a huge thing for LCFC and I can see why they would want to announce it in style.

It remains speculation so I'm doubtful that this will be resolved today. The thread could well peter out before we get anywhere near 100 pages.
