He's probably still a good player but I think people are possibly going a little overboard with this one?

Whos to say he's going to be as good as James and Drinkwater? I don't think he will be personally.

Hes a different type of player to the 2 mentioned. He will play in the gap between the defence and midfield and mark the players who play in that whole (Silva, Barkley, Oscar, Mata)... Very effective in the Premiership as one Makalele proved.

He can also play in the gap at the other end but maybe he doesn't have the legs to track back for that anymore - I don't know.

You're right, James and Drinkwater have nothing learn or gain from working with one of the most experienced, top class midfielders in European football.

Did I say they wouldn't learn? Just think everyone is going WAY overboard!

I can see him being used at the base of a diamond, screening the back 4 and giving James and DD a chance to get forward more and covering for RDL and Schlupp when they go marauding, the problem would be then we have 3 spots for our 6 most attacking players, Vardy, Nugent, Ulloa, Knocky, Mahrez, Albrighton he may be employed as a big game player to keep us solid against the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea etc. and set-up to play on the counter.

Yeah I agree. It just really annoyed me how on the forum it was suggested James/Drinks would have to make way for him. Why?

Very much doubt we will play 442 bud so would be a case of all 3 or a.n other....?

Because James and Drinkwater probably wouldn't have consistently been selected for a 5th place inter last season, and generally been one of the better players on the field.

If you actually did some research on inters match reports from last season you'd see Cambiasso actually had a pretty good season. The jury is still out on whether James and Drinkwater can even handle the premiership yet.

I just want to sign the fecker so we can move on to other targets, plenty of strengthening still required.

we're probably still working of other targets at the same time. It is possible.

I'm pretty sure almost all posts have mentioned playing alongside James and DD and not instead of...

Indeed it is but the fact sweet FA has happended since Ulloa tells me we are very much focussing on this deal

Nah, we have lots of other targets on our radar, but Nige has burst all of those Balloonheads that keep on leaking info, this is our closest to completion, but others such as Deeney or some of the other many linked players will be at various stages, a lot of deals go through late on as clubs realise it is now or never to buy or sell.

I was at the traffic lights by Fosse park last night, chap in two fellas in the back, one whom looked a lot like our man Mr. Cambiasso. Or it could have been Leicester own Walter white...who knows.

I don't watch Italian football at all. Time will tell whether Drinks and James can cut it. I think they can.

It wasn't a 2001 Ford Mondeo with a Ripspeed rear spoiler they were driving was it?

I think I'd prefer Walter White now that you mention it.
