cc_star Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 No but by using our club to spread the King Power name, it may become profitable for them. Eejit Don't confuse football clubs (or any business, especially those with hierarchy of companies) who don't record profits as not being highly profitable. Sure, bankrolling & speculating to accumulate is necessary and not every club makes it big, or even many clubs... but money is drawn out of businesses at different levels, leaving operating losses & reduced exposure to tax at the end of they year. Will the Thais make their money back directly, excluding unquantifiable King Power benefits? Not for a long time given the size of debt & transfer to equity, but they will either on sale as an established PL club, or over the long term... While at the same time offering all sorts of tax benefits to a presumably profit making duty free business
Ricey Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I get the impression NP is more annoyed about the leak of salary details, rather than a leak that we are interested. Leaking the details of the contract only causes future deals to possibly become more costly and disrupt other players in our squad.
Kent Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 God this would be quality if it really came off. I can't help feeling like it's far from nailed on though.
Beliall Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 God this would be quality if it really came off. I can't help feeling like it's far from nailed on though. Like his wig.
KFS Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 It's obviously the agent who's leaked it. Nige will be pissed off because he's leaked the exact details. Probably trying to issue a come and get me plea.
Finnaldo Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Mercado tweeting it's a done deal. Do you have the link mate?
johnny the fox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 This could be the best slap head since Andy Lockhead.
Babylon Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Do you have the link mate?Craig posted... Who knows if it's new or old info, but it's a new tweet.
cjslcfc Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Mercado tweeting it's a done deal. What exactly is Mercado? Judging by their tweets they just sum up all the done deals etc... in the football market

Bingo I think stringer (correct me if am wrong) mentioned this too - ongoing negotiations and perhaps a negative knock on morale.
Vlad the Fox Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 What exactly is Mercado? Judging by their tweets they just sum up all the done deals etc... in the football market It's the Mercury's Argentinian edition.
Finnaldo Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Craig posted... Who knows if it's new or old info, but it's a new tweet. Cheers guys, would have thought that another source would confirm it though, seems like it's more of a rehash.
Babylon Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 What exactly is Mercado? Judging by their tweets they just sum up all the done deals etc... in the football market I had it in my head that it was a newspaper... But it could just be a chain of supermarkets ha ha.
Robin JD Popley Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Translation of the tweet from Mercado: The Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is new Leicester City player. Comes from Inter Milan.
cjslcfc Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 I had it in my head that it was a newspaper... But it could just be a chain of supermarkets ha ha. To be fair they have nearly 340,000 followers!! EDIT: Then again Indy Kaila has 182,000. What the hell are people thinking?!

The difference being, those 340,000 plus followers seem to respect their insight. Indy Kaila's are just in it for the laughs. Bar 'BoringJamesMilner', the comedy gold on that Indy twitter page is second to none.

Bar 'BoringJamesMilner', the comedy gold on that Indy twitter page is second to none. To be honest all their tweets say "this player has moved to this club from here" and that's about it. Maybe Spanish (or South Americans) use it as their transfer summary place.
Robin JD Popley Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Agreed about up to date transfer information. Doubt they'd wish to commit something to text if it wasn't true/close to happening mind. Reputations on the line etc.
Corky Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 Pearson's interview suggests it will happen. They were keen to do it quietly without public knowledge, that would suggest it's being going on a while, Pearson calling people clowns was great Pearson wouldn't get that irate if it was just a paper rumour
cjslcfc Posted 9 August 2014 Posted 9 August 2014 "Balloon-head" is such a ridiculous insult but it just seems right coming from Nige's mouth
