NP's angry reaction to "clown" leaking and absolutely no denial was quite positive, I feel. Agents games will always go on, they are putting out a feeler bet to see where they stand.

I'm very disappointed with the Col episode in this thread, I do not always agree with his points and we have banter, yet some of the abuse in here is like playground bullying.He was defending an opinion, which he is entitled to do,and what he's being lambasted for I believe some of the people attacking him should take a look in the mirror over. I myself do not agree with Cols point, he does have some valid ones though and seems a decent bloke to me.

I do hope he gets over throwing his toys out and returns to the forum as I enjoy him calling me a happy clapper.

Bullying, absolute rubbish. I'll state again the shit he got was little to do with his opinion on Cambiasso and very much to do him being a megalomaniac. He started it by slating others for not saying it was a bad signing, demanding people discuss the bad points.

Anyway, sick of hearing about him.

Had another listen to what he (Nigel) said again on iPlayer and what I can fathom from the goalposts remark is that, it isn't the lack of interest from our end or necessarily from Cambiasso's end but whichever idiot has leaked the story and whatever their intentions are.

 

It could be money related, it could be due to the fact he is a big name player moving to England...we just don't know but I lean toward the latter. You know how everyone likes to make a name for themselves if they are a perceived no-one and there would probably be some money to the person who has leaked it. As others have said, how many transfers these days happen entirely on the q-t?

 

What I would say is that I don't think it is a negative as some people tend to think - it was a flippant expression directed at the moron who leaked the report to the press rather than to the general representatives and player himself. I still think this has a very strong likelihood of happening, its just odd for us to be in the position of signing such a household name.

Bloody hell! This thread's already a bit of a rollercoaster, and we don't even know whether we'll land EC yet.

 

Trying not to get my hopes up, but I really think this would be a fantastic signing. The moving the goalposts thing does make it sound like EC's agent is trying to fish for a better deal from elsewhere. I suppose, even if that's the case, it doesn't necessarily mean we won't end up getting him to sign, even if it is unlikely. If we end up losing out, at least we know NP is looking to add a top quality holding midfielder to the squad, which I think would be a huge help in our bid to stay up.

 

I haven't been around here very much for a while, and I have to say, I found the drama surrounding Col very strange. Not at all like the Col that was here a while ago.

Based on the fact that owners, especially ones from Thailand,(hardly a massive football nation, the people over there are starting to love us because these geezers own us, great reason to like a team that) often know bugger all about football. Based on the fact they wanted Sven as manager, probably because he was about the only manager they'd ever heard of. Based on the fact they said Polo was their favourite sport.

 

I think it's fairly obvious that they're not exactly football people, if that makes me retarded so be it.

Yeah I suppose so, I think if he thought it was now highly unlikely he would have perhaps brushed it off a bit more. Seemed fairly open about it all, which perhaps suggests some confidence.

What it does show is that he likes to go about business the right way with the utmost care not to get people too carried away. He's just a sensible guy our Nige. His cool head could prove invaluable when the times get tough this season.

@Chappers28 i think they are confident although NP not happy it was leaked.

 

And this is what I was referring to everyone - not the fact it isn't on now...but the fact Nigel is mad at this unknown moron for leaking it.

 

I think he actually was very modest in his reflection and bar the f word to that reporter, kept his cool as best he could considering he was on live radio.

 

Quietly confident he (Cambiasso) will be holding his Leicester shirt soon! :)
