"“I scored against Yeovil last season but for some reason it was taken away from me by the panel. I’ve seen the replay loads of times, my header clearly went over the line before Chris Wood put it in. If there’s an opportunity to score this season, I would like to try and take it.”"

I hope he's joking.

Give him a penalty! He strikes a ball well enough

Joking about wanting to score or joking about having scored? Because the ball went over the line clearly

I have no confidence in Hamer, imo Nigel has dropped a clanger in signing him. I would prefer Logan to Hamer, I just hope that Kasper doesn't get injured or sent off.

Good luck City COYB!!!

Not sure where, based on this interview, that Schmeichel is showing arrogance? There's nothing wrong in wanting to make a name for yourself, regardless of how good your dad was playing the game. He's finally settled here by the sounds of it and has a comfortable life whilst still wanting to push himself to the next level and performing in the Premier League is that chance for him. It's just a bonus that it's with us and if he goes on to be even better than he is now then we can be proud in saying we were part of that.

I agree with him about the #1 spot. It's good to have competition but its' clear Kasper was always going to be #1. Hamer is back-up and it was probably made known to him that that would be the case. I could be wrong, but did Hamer not admit when he signed that he would most likely be playing second-fiddle to Kasper and knows how hard he has to work to displace him?

Definitely agree with his Nigel comments, too. I think many Premier League fans and teams are in for a shock as to how Nigel asserts himself and goes about things during a season.

You clearly haven't seen Logan play.

He's a back up keeper. Of course he's not as good as Kasper but imagine if our only alternative was Loga--

To be honest, for a long while I've not pegged him against his Father's career. Kasper is a truly excellent keeper, as he has proven over the last two seasons for club and country. Of course he is going to likened to his Father as he was brought up watching him and learning from him, so he does have a similar style.

I hope he sticks with us for a good number of years! I can imagine him playing in the Champions League at a top level!

I'd think Hamer would like to challenge for the #1 shirt, but I'm sure the club made their expectations of him clear when they agreed to sign him.

Kasper has really improved over the past few years. Having a better team in front of him has helped, but all the experience he's gotten over the past few years has certainly helped him become a more mature keeper. I'm trying to remember the last time he's lost his mind during a game--was it Blackpool away back in September?

He is his own man, he's been on lots of loan spells, been down to League 2 and has spent half a decade away from the Premier League because he wants to play.

He may be arrogant, rash at times, but his attitude to want to win is fantastic and the type we want to support.

Joking about wanting to score. That header was miles over the line!

It was, when he inexplicably came out and clattered into the back of someone when it was completely unnecessary. Dying moments, conceded a penalty.

He does seem arrogant and I've been told he isn't massively liked by everyone in the club, but he is the best keeper I've ever seen at Leicester and I love how much he enjoys playing. Glad he's got his chance at the top level once again.

Yes. Now he is a more mature keeper and a true leader of the defence. I remember that three years ago he tossed the ball away on the spur of the moment after a penalty and was sent off , but now he is more composed and calm I think.

I watched him playing against Manchester United when he was in Manchester City, and have also watched some of his matches in Notts and Leeds in FA cup, I believe that he deserves the big stage of Premier League.

Hamer has had a dreadful start, and seems to be a bag of nerves. Either he is a poor keeper, or he needs to get a good 90 minutes of first team football under his belt, in order to recover his confidence. I hope it's the latter, but only time will tell.
