sphericalfox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 He was only 'hopeful' the other day. Now he's 'more hopeful'! WHOOP! WHOOP! WHOOP!
weller54 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Such shit from The Mirror, I swear they make it up when they're out of stories. Esteban Cambiasso ate my Hamster!!!!!
Robin JD Popley Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 He was only 'hopeful' the other day. Now he's 'more hopeful'! WHOOP! WHOOP! WHOOP! And what we all know of Nigel, I think that says a lot. For him to persist in this, you'd think this may tell us something. Plus - he's also given us a time frame of 'hopefully the next few days', so, we safely assume he (NP) wants news before Friday's registration. He was as persistent concerning Ulloa and look what happened there, so, fingers crossed.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Cammmmmm bia bia biaaasssooo biassooo biassooo cam bia bia biaaasssooo bia biassooo I can't WAIT for this!

Carlos88LCFC Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Haha, you have proper got hooked on that haven't you mate? It is a great chant though! Its catchy and will get everyone signing along, it will sound awesome! Just hope hes not a flop after all of this ... that would be dreadful!
Deucalion Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 What concerns me is that people are going to give Cambiasso a hard time based on bs rumour and opinion on here. What do we actually know about this transfer? - Pearson has been interested for a long time and is prepared to wait for it's conclusion. - Pearson became less hopeful towards the end of last week and blamed 'people coming out of the woodwork'. - Pearson is now more hopeful the deal will be done this week. Anything other than this is unsubstantiated nonsense.
st albans fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 IF this is concluded successfully then the delays will be explained and no one will give anyone a hard time. however, I haven't even spotted a chicken, never mind started counting any!
shailen Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 i'm just happy we wont have to play GTF in that position
st albans fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 i'm just happy we wont have to play GTF in that position Counting those chickens again - last time I checked we would still have GTF in that position.
iamafox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I only see Cambiasso coming here as 50/50. Pearson saying he's 'hopeful' is one thing but whether the deal will actually be done is another.
65RosesFox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Counting those chickens again - last time I checked we would still have GTF in that position. If GTF has his way he will have all the chickens, smoothered in BBQ sauce with chips, coleslaw and corn on the cob on the side
Lestoh Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Counting those chickens again - last time I checked we would still have GTF in that position. Having him available in that position and HAVING to play him in that position are, thankfully, very different things.
Robin JD Popley Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 As a point of interest, this is the link to the latest weekly column our scout Rob Mackenzie has done for Sky - this week concerning agents. Quite apt I feel, and, clears a lot of things up for people wanting to blame anyone in particular. http://www1.skysports.com/transfer/news/21476/9439411/the-science-of-scouting-agents
roblcfc84 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 "I don't know Estaban Cambiasso, I never met Estaban Cambiasso or had any contact with him, but...I'm sorry, I can't go on." "That's OK, your tears say more than real evidence ever could."

But if Pearson believes he's genuine and willing to work hard here then I trust Nigel.
Monsell1976 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Doesn't fit what has been said before by the management, I.e only want players who want to buy into the mentality of the squad, I might be wrong but the longer it goes on it looks like he is only coming here for one last big pay day. I hope I'm wrong and I hope he works out if he does ever sign, and I hope he doesn't come with the big time Charlie attitude as we have a great team spirit, that will be a big part of our attempt to stay up. I agree with those that say we should now be saying sign up or we move on, as it's becoming a bit of a joke now

I agree with those that say we should now be saying sign up or we move on, as it's becoming a bit of a joke now Why do people keep saying this? He's not going to get 'one last big pay day' (fvck me I'm sick of that phrase) out of us is he, so what does that even mean in this context? He's simply looking for the best deal for himself. If we're the best offer and he's happy with the set up then he'll sign. If there's on offer in Madrid/Valencia/wherever he's not. The exact same thing that 100% of people on here would do.

This view that it's avarice on Cambiasso's part has come from pure conjecture. Newspapers knew nothing and have thus made up crap. All we really know is what NP has said.
Stadt Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Haydos saves me a (less succinct) reply every time I look in this thread
Brainy Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Such shit from The Mirror, I swear they make it up when they're out of stories. I know Stringer has came out with an alleged quote from Pearson but bare in mind that the Mirror were the ones to break this story in the first place
cjslcfc Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I know Stringer has came out with an alleged quote from Pearson but bare in mind that the Mirror were the ones to break this story in the first place It's not an alleged quote. I've just seen a brief interview on SSN where he has said exactly what Stringer has told us. I'd say that's a bit more believable than the Mirror!!
lemtom Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 I know Stringer has came out with an alleged quote from Pearson but bare in mind that the Mirror were the ones to break this story in the first place True but SSN have just shown a clip of an interview with Pearson saying exactly what Stringer said
