Cambiasso's in then he's out in out in out shakes us all about!

He was only 'hopeful' the other day. Now he's 'more hopeful'! WHOOP! WHOOP! WHOOP!

And what we all know of Nigel, I think that says a lot. For him to persist in this, you'd think this may tell us something.

Plus - he's also given us a time frame of 'hopefully the next few days', so, we safely assume he (NP) wants news before Friday's registration.

He was as persistent concerning Ulloa and look what happened there, so, fingers crossed.

What concerns me is that people are going to give Cambiasso a hard time based on bs rumour and opinion on here.

What do we actually know about this transfer?

- Pearson has been interested for a long time and is prepared to wait for it's conclusion.

- Pearson became less hopeful towards the end of last week and blamed 'people coming out of the woodwork'.

- Pearson is now more hopeful the deal will be done this week.

Anything other than this is unsubstantiated nonsense.

Counting those chickens again - last time I checked we would still have GTF in that position.

If GTF has his way he will have all the chickens, smoothered in BBQ sauce with chips, coleslaw and corn on the cob on the side

Having him available in that position and HAVING to play him in that position are, thankfully, very different things.

"I don't know Estaban Cambiasso, I never met Estaban Cambiasso or had any contact with him, but...I'm sorry, I can't go on."

"That's OK, your tears say more than real evidence ever could."

Agree with this, I said before that I won't be sorry if we miss out on a 34 year old. But if Pearson believes he's genuine and willing to work hard here then I trust Nigel.

Doesn't fit what has been said before by the management, I.e only want players who want to buy into the mentality of the squad, I might be wrong but the longer it goes on it looks like he is only coming here for one last big pay day.

I hope I'm wrong and I hope he works out if he does ever sign, and I hope he doesn't come with the big time Charlie attitude as we have a great team spirit, that will be a big part of our attempt to stay up.

I agree with those that say we should now be saying sign up or we move on, as it's becoming a bit of a joke now

Why do people keep saying this? He's not going to get 'one last big pay day' (fvck me I'm sick of that phrase) out of us is he, so what does that even mean in this context?

He's simply looking for the best deal for himself. If we're the best offer and he's happy with the set up then he'll sign. If there's on offer in Madrid/Valencia/wherever he's not. The exact same thing that 100% of people on here would do.

What fits with what? This view that it's avarice on Cambiasso's part has come from pure conjecture. Newspapers knew nothing and have thus made up crap. All we really know is what NP has said.

Such shit from The Mirror, I swear they make it up when they're out of stories.

I know Stringer has came out with an alleged quote from Pearson but bare in mind that the Mirror were the ones to break this story in the first place

It's not an alleged quote. I've just seen a brief interview on SSN where he has said exactly what Stringer has told us. I'd say that's a bit more believable than the Mirror!!

True but SSN have just shown a clip of an interview with Pearson saying exactly what Stringer said
