Buzzell Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 According to The Mirror he walked out of meeting due to money! If the issue was money, Nigel would of pulled the plug on the deal yonks ago.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 If it's come down to that then i think nige should seriously shitcan the idea of signing him. " shitcan the idea " brilliant !
Buzzell Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 DAILY MIRROR: Esteban Cambiasso has walked out of talks with Leicester after a row over money. Just checked the Daily Mirror website and there's nothing about him walking out of the deal. Do you have a source to back up you're claims?
Matt Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 If it's true he walked out of a meeting after a money row its time to draw a line it for sure. If we accepted his demands whats he gonna be like and act around the other players? How are the other players gonna react around him?! What was the word I used earlier in the thread...Primadonna.
Walshy5 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Im really not bothered if this happens or not now. He might not be fit to play for weeks yet and with Drinky and james out we need players for now
ElusiveEd Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 If the Daily Mirror story has any credence, (Sceptical) this smacks of Cambiasso and his team making it seem that the blame sits with LCFC and not him and his agents. If what is to be believed about a deal being agreed previously then why storm out of a meeting now over £££? Greed? Pass the blame?
dannyjpage Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 This sort of signing could upset the team unit. A good team spirit is better than any one player. Set a deadline with his agent and move on. Who's next on the wanted list Walshy

How often are players involved on meetings about money? If someone walked out then it would have been his agents most likely not the player himself. It's all negotiation BS. Not fussed either way now so long as we bring someone in.
suffolk fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Not bothered in the slightest whether he comes to us or not. However, if the reports are true he walked out because of money then that is worrying. We are premier league we have to pay premier league money. The squad is threadbare. We matched a world class Chelsea team for an hour on Saturday. If we had an established midfield player come on for Hammond in the 2nd half we may have got something? At this level you have to have a squad of players to compete. Unfortunately, we have failed to bring in enougth cover in key positions. It will be a crying shame come the end of the season if we go down by either goal difference or a few points. We have to realise that to compete on the top table you do have to pay top table fees. Unless we do this we will not attract the better players to come. It's not even winter yet and we are getting injuries all over. Our squad needs strengthening and pretty quickly now.
sdb Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 As suspected, the bloke doesn't actually want to play for lcfc, so why we're even wasting our breath on an unfit, declining 34 year old I don't know. So many good players out there, let's move on and make him regret his greed.
ElusiveEd Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 For what it's worth.... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Premier-League-News/1418835775033794
1884Fox Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 Fvck him. If he wanted to really play for us then if wouldn't matter about the money, dragged on far to long to come to what we've expected. Money grabbing tosser
Haydos Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 People slowly realising and coming round now ah? Realising what? The fact of the matter is that we don't know what's happening. I don't care if you think he does or doesn't want to be here. I don't even care if he knows that. If Pearson and his team have done their homework and he has a good attitude then I'm going to be over the moon if he signs. I'm really confused why you're acting really high and mighty when you haven't really made a point and nothing has happened.

Agree with this post... Although I think the cambiasso farce has taken up valuable time in sourcing other targets.. I just hope NP had a plan B /C in place?.. But that's looking doubtful. We can all see that our squad isn't strong enough to survive in this league and already injuries have cost us points (bringing on GFT to replace Hammond on Saturday!!.. Joke!)..... I fear we have done too little too late to strengthen with the right players.. Hope my fears prove to be unfounded!
Walshy5 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 It is a concern though that we keep losing out on targets because we're stubborn and not willing to budge on money. Same happened with Campbell (not that i wanted him here) and Fanni.

Also 'walking out of a meeting' is just standard media hyperbole. If he's turned down an offer due to money then fair enough. If he thinks he can earn more and play for a more suitable club elsewhere then who wouldn't do the same?

Same happened with Campbell (not that i wanted him here) and Fanni. Fanni didn't impress during a trial and Campbell wasn't worth the money he was demanding!

Same happened with Campbell (not that i wanted him here) and Fanni. It was attitude and motivation with Fanni not money that we dropped him.
Finchy Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 If that first half at Chelsea tells us anything, its that all of our players are well up for this season, they have a great team spirit and that is what will keep us up. I think we should be following Southampton's blueprint over the last few seasons, whenever they tried big name signings, they just didn't work. The players that shone for them, were the same players that had brought them up, and we'll be the same. **** him, we don't need him. DEANOOOOOO.

Steven Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 @StringerSport 37s Nigel Pearson has told us this morning that the Cambiasso to #LCFC deal has progressed & he’s now more ‘hopeful’ Come on down.
Robin JD Popley Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 will she won't she... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Haha, agreed mate. However, what I think it confirms is, the only people we should probably listen to throughout the entirety of this (for once) are our local media sources. There are so many contradictions going around that all of this 'he walked out' and 'snubbed' - no one but Nigel, Terry et al and their side know what is going on.
Tielemans63 Posted 25 August 2014 Posted 25 August 2014 @StringerSport 37s Nigel Pearson has told us this morning that the Cambiasso to #LCFC deal has progressed & he’s now more ‘hopeful’ He's realised he's got no other options then basically.
