dayday Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 The Sun.....Wilfred Zaha....loan to permanent move The People- Esteban Cambassio(says pretty much what the mirror says Also says we are after Bakary Sako of Wolves.
ian hopgood Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha would be a good addition but I think if he was to go out on loan he would go to a far bigger club than us... and as far Sako I don't think he's any better than Nugent on a good day
Matt Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Anyone would be nice its getting desperate. This, people I know wound me up abit early in the summer/pre-season saying we ain't signing no-one, we need signings, e.t.c, and I said be patient, no need to rush no need to panic. At the moment in time I would call it panic but it will become so within a couple of days if we've still not done anything.
cc_star Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha - Was great for Palace in the Championship, but since then it's all gone wrong. At a crossroads in his career, really needs to kick on to be as good as he looked like he could be Cambiasso - Done full circle and come crawling back to us after realising no one else in the whole world will give a 34 year old a two year deal for millions per year, not even Chelsea to a club legend. So now he's come crawling back to us for a QPR 2012/13-era style transfer Sako - Would flesh the squad out, no better than anyone we've got & we really need someone a class above. Although we do need numbers at current injury levels
ian hopgood Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Come Wednesday/Thursday and the whole cambassio/Diaz/Zaha and anyone else we want to put in the melting pot is not signed or had a medical with us then I think is the time to start to have bit of a panic.... I'm sure Niger will get it right but like most of us have said we always leave things till the last minute.

I'm sure Niger will get it right but like most of us have said we always leave things till the last minute. Do we? Because Nigel said it in his interview yesterday and I agree with him, he likes to get his business done early, he's not a fan of last minute, rush, panic deals, you've got a big window to sign players why leave it till the last minute? Nigel has dipped into and used the loan market well in the past but can't think of too many last minute deadline day transfer made by Nigel.
roblcfc84 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Sako would be decent. I think it is about Depth now as I believe our best 11 can compete in the PL, it's about covering injuries and adding a little competition.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Would have taken Sako last season but not convinced he'd make the grade at Prem level. Think Zaha would be worth a chance on a loan deal but I doubt we'd be front of the queue for him.
The Bear Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Sako isn't really good enough for the Prem IMO. Too often his control and decision making lets him down. He's either fantastic or anonymous. Very frustrating player at times. We quoted Forest £4m when they were after him. So £6m to you guys with all your Thai dosh
Giggsy77 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Steve Walsh (Assistant) has good contacts with Manchester United, so I think we could be at the front of the queue for Zaha. It would be more about if he wants to come to us really. Remember all we read is media talk, doesn't mean Cambiasso as gone full circle necessarily, could be he's been waiting to sign but had to tie up relegation clauses. The media write some dross at times, so don't believe all you read. One good thing, if he was at the bridge yesterday, then he watched us play some good football against the possible champions. Big Nige will get it all sorted so don't panic

Big Nige will get it all sorted so don't panic I'd like to see Cleverley back with us, and I wouldn't mind Welbeck on loan either. I'm really not sure about Zaha, though. Is he a bit of a big-time Charlie? Just asking - I have no real idea, but he doesn't seem to have done much in the Prem, either for Man U or Cardiff.
Tielemans63 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Honestly wouldn't want Zaha. He wasn't even Palace's best player when he joined United.
Bamba's Babes Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha - An enigma, yes. A great player, no. Better option than GTF to come off the bench, yes. Sign him up. Sako - Seems a good player but would be 4th/5th option out wide. Cambiasso - If we ignore everything that has gone before in the last two weeks, yes, he would be a valuable acquisition. Would also like us to show interest in signing: Deeney, Diaz, Redmond, RB & LB
RobHawk Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 According to the BBC, Harry also interested in Zaharias if he's available on loan!
oncewasafox Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha without doubt would improve our squad, however CM is without doubt our priority.
Guest Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha without doubt would improve our squad, however CM is without doubt our priority. Without doubt we have one of the best CM depth in the country.
Babylon Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Without doubt we have one of the best CM depth in the country.Indeed, I like many others doubted King and Hammond, but they set the tone in the Werder Bremen game and haven't looked back. Both have been outstanding. So much so you look at is as harsh if either of them lost their place to Drinky and James. Those four competing against each other now looks good compared to a few games ago if they can keep it up.
KentyLCFC Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Zaha - I hope we dont get him. I mean he was very good in the championship, but has he really done anything in the prem? No. I'd prefer for us to get a defender or striker. Cambiasso - were in desperate need for a midfielder so I hope this gets sorted out soon. We need so one like him that can battle and pick out a long pass to the strikers (hopefully ulloa or vardy) Sako - dont want him either for reasons already stated on above posts. Id also be happy to see this diaz geezer come. As I said before we need more midfielders and when seeing him play I cant help feel 4million is a great price for him.
RizLCFC Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Linked with Majeed Waris again in the Daily Star Sunday.
Le Renard Napoléonien Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Without doubt we have one of the best CM depth in the country. I think Hammond and King have both had two excellent early games this season, but really? This isn't even slightly hyperbolic to you? Yaya, Fernando, Fernandinho, Lampard Ramsey, Ozil, Wilshere, Arteta, Flamini McCarthy, Barkley, Barry, Besic, Osman Herrera, Kagawa, Fellaini, Mata, Carrick, Fletcher Let's maybe even look at some of the non-top teams? Huddlestone, Livermore, Meyler, Snodgrass, Brady Jedinak, Bolasie, Puncheon, Parr, Bannan Look guys, I know that our midfield has had a few good games but let's not get carried away with having 'one of the best midfield depths in the country'. It's simply not true. These are still CMs with limited (if at all) Prem experience, and on the whole fairly young as well.

I think it was a joke.
docho66 Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 We desperately need to find a better player than Nugent! I can't for Vardy to return! If we get Vardy and Ulloa together up front, I feel we will tear some defences apart!
conLAD logan Posted 24 August 2014 Posted 24 August 2014 Sakos is a winger much different to what we currently have, I'd take him!
