Aus Fox Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28980076 So it turns out when it comes to agents fees, big spending Leicester were way down the pecking order spending well below the championship average, and half the amount of anyone in the top 10 spend. Not very many pound notes washed down the drain last season. In surprisingly Arry spent more on agents fees than anyone else.
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Common knowledge we didn't spend much last season so bit of a pointless thread.
Captain... Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 We were well down the previous season too, £407,000 http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/75/be/0,,10794~179829,00.pdf
georgec Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Common knowledge we didn't spend much last season so bit of a pointless thread. Common knowledge to us, yes. But would be nice for other clubs to take note of this.
pSinatra Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Agents fees down 17.7% Bad time to be an agent. Cost of living going up. I blame the Tories
foxes88 Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Interesting that Burnley spent more then us the year before and only just less then us last year. I know we made less signings and we also spent more on transfer fees but we don't seem to have many more pound notes then them as Sean thinks. Yes I know our wage bill will be higher
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Common knowledge to us, yes. But would be nice for other clubs to take note of this. The squad still cost a fair bit and our wage bill is still up there. We just didn't spend the money last year it was before. Fair few faces in our squad worth 7 figures and just before Nige came back we spent shit loads on agents, the most in the league I think. I don't get all the whining about money anyway, you need a bit to get up and survive as Dyche will prove this season. Agents fees down 17.7% Bad time to be an agent. Cost of living going up. I blame the Tories Think it's more to do with signing fewer players last year, and for less money.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 how does he keep getting away with this? Now that's a secret. 'Arry does what 'Arry wants.
Buzzell Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 ****ing QPR. Not suprised one bit that they are top of the list.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 how does he keep getting away with this? Something to do with his dog?
sylofox Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 how does he keep getting away with this? Thats easy he finds some mug with more pound notes than brains. Simples.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Dyche has been shooting his fvcking ginger gob off again about "...big spending Leicester." Tw@t
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 Simply shows again, the pretty amazing job Pearson has done at City. If he hadn't have gone to Hull, imagine the position we could be in now. Most probably we'd already be an established Premiership side. Sven really really damaged the club. I thought he probably would and he did. Pearson has picked up the pieces and turned us around.

I may be wrong....but I thought you were one of those who suggested Sven needed more time?
Guest Col city fan Posted 29 August 2014 Posted 29 August 2014 I may be wrong....but I thought you were one of those who suggested Sven needed more time? I think, like most people, I was surprised that Sven was sacked as quickly as he was. But prior to that, yeah mostly I was pretty critical of Sven. And was right from the off. Most notably of his signing of Beckford, but primarily because it was clear he never had command of the dressing room like Pearson has. Water under the bridge now though aint it. My point remains, Pearson has done a remarkable job, all things considered, to turn the mess around. Like many, i suggest, I did become concerned when the club went on that run of incredibly poor form under Pearson and I did consider that we might need to replace him. As it turned out, it was a bloody good job we didn't and I accepted (as did many if I recollect) that I was too hasty in that respect. But i never had the belief that Sven would get us promoted.

Surprised you wanted to give Sven more time, but willing to let Pearson go in an equal amount of time, especially considering he inherited Sven's squad.

I'm sure I said I was surprised that he didn't get more time. The two aren't one and the same. And i've made my feelings on Pearson pretty clear. In fact, I can't make them any more clear.

I know it's easy to say in hindsight now but, I always had a feeling that Beckford wouldn't fit in here. A few lads I know were blind to the fact he only came here for the dollar. Saying that, I didn't expect him to be as shit as he was.
Dan Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Why did we get so much more shit for being big spending than the others? Do papers refer to Forest as 'big spending Forest'? Because I'm almost certain now they've spent more than us recently. Bloody hell they've spent more than us this summer and we're in the ****ing Premier League
Dan Posted 30 August 2014 Posted 30 August 2014 Right on cue lol http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5866293/David-McGoldrick-wanted-for-8million-by-Leicester.html
