He's asking us to predict our next five games, he's not saying all of our opponents are shit. I reckon 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, so 7 points.

Asha Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I think a similar return for the next 5 as the previous 5 would be pretty tidy. Home games against Burnley and West Brom you'd seriously hope we win and at the moment Newcastle are very beatable at SJP. Just take each game as it comes though, every point takes us closer to the 40-odd point mark for survival and then take it from there.

foxfanazer Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 10 points is very much achievable although these 5 games present a far different challenge to our first 5. I can't help but feel bullish at the moment though so think we'll do really well

ARM1968 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Could be interesting. 10 Pts from the next 5 games would be immense. It's doable, but different types of game to those against the big boys. We will have to adapt. We'll be seen as a threat now and these teams will be playing us differently. Could be cagey and more draws than we'd want. But I have faith in this team and with Cambiasso pulling the strings we are more than capable of grinding out wins.

lee7 Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 Would love for us to get 9 just like any other city fan would, but realistically I can't see that happening. I can see palace beating us! I hate warnock but he always seems to get his teams playing well against us plus it's always hard to go to selhurst park and get a result. I think gravel voice will get his burnley side up for the match at the KP, I just hope they attack and don't just park the bus so to speak. If they attack us it'll give us opportunities to counter attack! Which we are best at. I think we'll get 3 points not very optimistic I know but I don't want to jynx anything, I normally give things the kiss of death
Andy King Power Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 I was going to mention that 14 is impossible, but someone's already done it. To be honest, I think we can get all 15. It's not really a stretch. Maybe it's me, but I'm seeing a lot of last year in this lot, only a lot better. I see people going 'it's typical Leicester, we're gonna bottle it 1-0 to Crystal Palace,' but did that happen last year? The only real time it happened was when the group was drunk with promotion against Brighton, and even then we got out of our stupor, and broke the 100 point barrier. Good old Nige will certainly make sure that any bad periods that occur will be minimal. There's just three words: Foxes Never Quit. How often have we come from behind to get something this season alone? Even at 3-1 they were still putting it all, trying to get something back. The boys are living by those words, they want something no matter how dire. They would rather go all out for the win, no matter how daunting the task. It's weird to think that even at 3-1 down, I thought they had enough in them to get something , good god, did they deliver? The games against the next five are going to be our bread and butter. Yes, they will be aware that we're a very capable team. Then again, that scene was set in the Championship. I feel that even at our worst, we'll still be bringing home good points. I feel that if a few of our players have a shocker, we've got a hungry batch on the bench ready to turn things around. I'd be happy with 10 (after all, not everything will go to plan). But I can't see any reason why we can't get 15. The only thing I hope for is that the boys to let their team spirit to never falter and do a Hull or Wigan (Go hot early, and just make it through the skin of your teeth. I mean, they survived, but it would be extremely disappointing, I feel we're better than that). We may lose a game, but I have confidence that they will bounce back. (Certainly did after Shrewsbury, that could've been very sour). Let's take it one game at a time, don't get complacent. Beat those around us, keep collecting points. We did the flashy stuff against the big teams, now convert it to the 'smaller fry (ourselves included)' and win some 3s, and ensure they get nothing. Perhaps the most encouraging thing? Every time we had the lead, we kept it. The absolute optimist in me suggests we could reach a position that defies belief just by doing what we did in the Championship against the 'Lower 12.' But realistically speaking: Let's go to Selhurst, play our game without the home distraction, work for the three, rinse and repeat. They will make it hard, but knuckle down and strike when the time is right. Make the impossible possible. Show that it takes more than money to do well in this league. Demonstrate to the Premiership how we roll. Be adaptable, be flexible, be very unpredictable, and keep them guessing. Keep getting in those precious points anyway you can. Hopefully the first season is something we can look back at and be very proud with how we've performed. Foxes never quit.
