filbertway Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Think it depends on the way you defend, really, and how you set up tactically. I wouldn't consider my Colombia side too "sweaty" (HEGGSY may disagree) but maybe that's because I'm not especially fond of spamming skill moves. However. it is very fast and I do play very directly. I've found a fair few people that I have considered "better" than me at the game, I've beaten because they just can't handle obvious through balls to a fast striker. Often they've played with a very high defensive line and just made it easy. By contrast, I'm a pretty inexperienced and jittery defender yet I cope fairly well with people playing Emenike and holding the sprint button because I just drop off, jockey, force them to try and go round me and they panic and run out of ideas. Basically, I think perhaps, to defend against noobs maybe you need to think like one? If someone is just bombing straight at you with pace then do the obvious, sit deep and ride it out. Ha that could be it, I tend to back off and force a long range shot or wait for the person to make a mistake/get crowded out. Obviously on counter attacks when chasing goals you leave yourself extremely exposed. This tactic doesn't work when Papiss Cisse is in the mood to smash in long rangers from 30 yards though. I had Clyne sweeping up like an absolute champ last night when I was chasing an equaliser.

I've made some changes, using the fact half the Colombians play in Liga MX to get me some other South Americans.

Every year I play fut amd end up selling my gold team and starting again. This year ill make it last longer by starting from scratch. Master league style.

Does anyone know what the actual effect of playing players out of position is? I don't just mean chemistry, I mean general positioning. Like, if I get Arroyo - left winger - and play him in the CAM spot or make him a left forward and play him up front, I think I can keep 100 chemistry. I think I can even keep his individual chemistry about six or seven. But will he always be out of position?
