Corky Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Not even bus. Dyche would make them swim. The group's swimming ethic is first class. No one expected us to reach the other side but we did, against all the odds.

LCFC1996 Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Aren't the Serie A playing 1 of there cup finals in Qatar this season Yeah, the Supercoppa, been held in China recently, as well as the US and Libya in the past.
Guest Electric Yetis Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 If it helps the brand and the commercial revenue streams are boosted along with the international profile then I'm all for it. Not sure if serious but one of the most vomit inducing posts I have read.

lgfualol Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 North London Derby.... in Singapore Last game of the season, 3 points to win the league and it is played in.. Qatar.
Dan Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Absolutely utterly cringeworthy idea that crops up far too often for my liking.
Guest MattP Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Absolutely utterly cringeworthy idea that crops up far too often for my liking. It's actually going to happen. Football is like your first love at high school, it cheats on you, rips you off, takes all your income, breaks your heart and it's impossible not to want to be with it. It's horrid. The armchair football fan is the now the one everyone looks at as the customer to please, it's a sick sport, **** knows what it will actually take for me to walk away, you get games like the 5-3 and it's impossible.

I cross my fingers that one day it all implodes and goes back to its roots but I doubt it. Money has absolutely killed the game in every single department. Every single bad thing about the game boils down to money.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 October 2014 Posted 8 October 2014 Now now, no need to Dyche it up
Donut Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Taking games abroad would in my eyes defeat almost everything that makes the premiership what it is to those watching abroad. It would take away the iconic English footballing cathederals like Anfield and Old Trafford, it would take away the noise, the passion and colour away from the terraces, It would probably take away the pace and energy of the game if games were played at the wrong time of year where heat, humidity, bobbly pitches could be an issue like they were in previous Asia Trophies and those played on by Man City in the US this summer. I mean absolutely no disrespect to these teams, but selling tickets for Man Utd, Liverpool abroad, i dont think theres an issue, youd fill stadia all around the world. But how much does the average lay person in Singapore relate to Sunderland? An old fashioned, community type club. They dont carry a mystique to them or a glamour, they dont carry a "reason" to pull neutrals in to watch them. We wouldnt either.
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 My reply is simple. **** off. The suggestion is not even worth a debate
Matt Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 England games could be took around the country if Wembley becomes new "home" of the NFL franchise. Now I'm gonna sound very contradictory here and I've been holding of posting in this thread in fear of getting 'jumped on' for what I have to say but I can't hold off any longer. (Not that it really bothers me). Whilst I think it would be good for England to go around the country allowing fans outside London a better chance of seeing games (not that I'm bothered by England personally), Wembley is the national stadium. America can **** off from making any "home" here whether it be a couple of games a season or not. American idiots have put this idea in the powers that be's heads, now it's not Americas fault for the powers that be to use the ideas and I'm not saying that but I think it's fair to say if America had never bought the NFL on tour we wouldn't be having this discussion.
davieG Posted 9 October 2014 Author Posted 9 October 2014 Fans and clubs unite in a bid to shelve Premier League plans for fixture abroad http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/404032/Fans-and-clubs-unite-in-a-bid-to-shelve-Premier-League-plans-for-fixture-abroad
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Guarantee that Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool would all have 'away' fixtures if this went ahead and it wouldn't be a surprise if Man city and Tottenham for one weekend only were also 'away' by some convenient quirk of the fixture computer!
Fox92 Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Will the fans rise up against this and march on the Premier League head quarters when it gets passed?? Will they ****! They march every year to complain about ticket prices and nothings happened yet. A march won't do anything. If they want to go ahead with it, then they'll do it. They don't care about us fans that go home and away, that's backed up by ticket pricing and changing games for television for themselves (not the fans).

If every team in the premier league took a thousand fans down they couldn't ignore it. But it won't happen
sylofox Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 Look on the brite side 1 home game as long as it is our choice whats the problem for us. QPR point less game and if you go a weekend in the Thai sun. Pity QPR fans though 19 away games closest being New York lol
AS78UK Posted 9 October 2014 Posted 9 October 2014 It's not the fans perspective, it's the perspective of the basic rules of the league system. Think the same thing. One game abroad doesn't work from a league perspective, therefore can see if it ever does get the green light being 2 games a season, One home and away for each team.

lavrentis Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Decent idea - would add a new dimension to the premier league
Maybes Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 FFS is the Premier League not wealthy enough as it is. Greedy fvcks.
Fox92 Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Don't like this idea; I'm not for it. Just shows how much a brand the Premier League actually is, and as above it's already wealthy enough. Wish we would just get rid of it altogether and go back to divisions 1, 2, 3 and 4.
kasper wasper Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Decent idea - would add a new dimension to the premier league Awful idea - Would be the beginning of the end.
