Bayfox Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Semi-serious. What about if you retire here? You know, like Brits do abroad. Could be a few contenders in this thread.... but if you retire you have an income called a pension that comes with you. my parents moved to italy 4 years ago. my dad was 49 and still can't claim his personal pension until 55. he had to prove he had enough savings to survive as he had not intention to work out there. must have missed that part of the system in uk.
johnny the fox Posted 3 November 2014 Author Posted 3 November 2014 I'd be interested to hear how much effort that Somali woman has put into getting a job. Don't think I'm going to watch anymore....she's annoying me far too much. ha ha..

Good for him. I was responding to the post that "you enter Britain, you work", which is pretty short-sighted.

Short sighted? You put in before you get out, see USA or Austrailia to see what you'd get from them for starters.

JIMMYWILLIS Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Caught a clip on 5 live this morning where a guy was saying EU law dictates benefits are only a right for any EU citizen once they have resided in said country for 5 years. So it seems we are paying out for new immigrants without needing to. Would love to know why none of the parties have bothered to implement this!
