Jakemoore Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 The quotes from this article dont sound believable at all. Do we know if np actually said these things?
pSinatra Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Berahino is currently an English golden boy, with him being in the spotlight as the future of English football. It will mean that he will be 'protected' more than many other players. If Was had elbowed a less popular player, it wouldn't even be talked about. Was gave him a dig, the same as what goes on day in day out & is a part of football - albeit less so these days. Berahino took a knock, he got up & no real harm was done. It reminds me of when Matt Elliot forearm-smashed Michael Owen......mainly down to Owen being such a short arse. It was a bit of rough & tumble, but Owen was the golden boy & Elliott got a ban.
Boing Boing Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 EVERYONE should be protected against thugs. If an Albion player done that I wouldn't be looking for excuses I would be appalled. There is no place in football for things like this
shade Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 if it's on the ball and the referee doesn't see it, that makes it legitimate in my eyes.
Wilson_6 Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 have to disagree with most of this. I love how he always defends his player in the media. Its brilliant management. And i don't actually thing it was the worst challenge in the world. Think it was good to see abit of fight after the recent performances.
KFS Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 EVERYONE should be protected against thugs. If an Albion player done that I wouldn't be looking for excuses I would be appalled. There is no place in football for things like this Oh here we go. Also, what's this shite 'boing boing' turd?
Dickov22 Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 EVERYONE should be protected against thugs. If an Albion player done that I wouldn't be looking for excuses I would be appalled. There is no place in football for things like this Don't worry, some of us agree with you. Problem is, football fans tend to look at their own players with Rose tinted specs. If Lescott had done similar to Vardy, everyone on here would be hammering him.
Fox92 Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Pearson always turns into an arrogant nob when we're on a bad run. He did the same when we hit that really bad patch the other year. Its like he struggles to cope and is very crap at hiding the pressure he is feeling. But don't you think every manager does? The amount of times Alex Ferguson has lost it in interviews...
Boing Boing Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Don't worry, some of us agree with you. Problem is, football fans tend to look at their own players with Rose tinted specs. If Lescott had done similar to Vardy, everyone on here would be hammering him. Yep and we would be hammering Lescott, the same way we hammered Shane Long when he kept falling in the box at the slightest touch, it was embarrassing and good riddance when he went, we don't want to see that, we have been bought up on good old fashioned football, owned by a British owner and not in debt....Not to mention that fool Odemwingie who thought he was bigger than the club. Albion fans say it as it is and when they see a great goal by the opposition they applaud. After being years in the dark we know a good match/player/goal when we see it and we also see a thug when we see it and that elbow was a disgrace and no more of this little fella crap, he not only was a thug but also a coward and should have no place in ANY team
Itsthejoeker Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Heaven forbid we actually watch a real thug play, Barton, Shearer, Pepe to name a few.
Captain... Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Heaven forbid we actually watch a real thug play, Barton, Shearer, Pepe to name a few. Lescott... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43EZsEWdlNQ
Itsthejoeker Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Lescott... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43EZsEWdlNQ www.youtube.com/watch?v=43EZsEWdlNQ In fact, Dorrans was flying into tackles with his studs up and kicking out at our players all day long.
Captain... Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Craig Dawson https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6mSLL2ti4k
Captain... Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Lescott wasn't playing for Albion then ? Your point was, West Brom are some sort of saintly club that doesn't have any thugs or divers, and you are the last bastion of true honest football, you're not, you have players that can swing an elbow and take a dive, just like any other club. You going to respond to the video of Craig Dawson assaulting Speroni? You are no worse or better than any other club, but if you are going to spout crap like the post above expect to be called up on it.
Boing Boing Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 I was right behind the Dawson incident and it wasn't deliberate and he hardly touched Speroni not like that animal on Saturday . Speroni went down like a sack of spuds and when he realised he was going to be subbed my god a miracle happened, all of a sudden he jumped up saying he was Ok and didn't want to be subbed. This is what you get in the Prem, Prima Donnas who go down at the slightest touch but that blatant elbow on saturday was embarrassing for English Football and deep down you know it
Boing Boing Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Ohh yes and who exactly called it an assault....Oh yes that idiot Warnock who, when at Sheff Utd told one of his players to get sent off to abandon the match because they already had 3 sent off. You will get to see the REAL football when you open your eyes

But her went down at the slightest touch.
The Doctor Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Let's be honest, it was hardly an elbow - he tapped him, and even then Berahino ran into Wasyls elbow more than wasyl swinging it at him. Wasyl may be a bit of a beast, but in this case it's being greatly overstated - it was a slight knock in a bit of rough and tumble.
AKCJ Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Yes the elbow connects with Berahino's cheek but Wasyl ain't even looking at him. It's a yellow because he's not in control of his actions, but I think for a red to be produced it has to be deliberate and I don't think it was.
GingerrrFox Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Craig Dawson's elbow was easily more malicious than Wasyl on Saturday. The **** is jumping at Speroni's head with his ****ing elbow cocked out ready for it. Wasyl stuck his arm out to gain an advantage in play and Berahino accidentally got caught in the face.
The Doctor Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Any footage of this? I missed MOTD 9 minutes in on the footage on foxesplayer.
Itsthejoeker Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 9 minutes in on the footage on foxesplayer. Looks more like a forearm slap across the chest
