Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 He did nothing wrong today as such but I said it last week and I think you agreed, Kasper wants to thank his lucky stars Hamer is injured, although I doubt Pearson would have the balls to change it around anyway. He could just thank his lucky stars that he's better than Hamer, see the being the reason he gets more games in the long term
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Based on no confidence in him when ball is crossed in. Decent shot stopper, but apart from that he is sunday league. Hamer for me every time The extremes on this website are hilarious. In a month I've seen one person claim every part of his game bar claiming crosses is world class and then this suggesting every part of his game bar shot stopping is Sunday League
steveherbe Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 You've just contradicted yourself. Mahrez yes would make a difference. Mahrez would make a big difference because he is an individual. He is quick, skilful and has the talent to make things happen. He is dangerous. He is a threat and would help link the midfield and attack. Playing 4, arguably even 3 central midfielders is not going to work. You cannot play that way. Now, if that means our best TEAM (not necessarily 11) is a flat 4-4-2 with Mahrez on one wing and Knockaert/Albrighton on the wing, then so be it. But our best 11 certainly includes Mahrez. And our best team certainly doesn't contain 4 centre mids. So either way, Pearson is wrong. The extremes on this website are hilarious. In a month I've seen one person claim every part of his game bar claiming crosses is world class and then this suggesting every part of his game bar shot stopping is Sunday League Were you there today, did you watch him or the ball? Watch him, his positioning and decision making, its crap. My dad is Gordon Banks, we should know a decent keeper
Vicki Vixen Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 The players gave 100% today in difficult conditions against a very well organised and defensively solid Southampton side. Until they scored, Kasper had a pretty quiet 70 mins, which shows the sort of game it was today. I share the concerns on here about the formation and the lack of wingers, but can't fault any of the players today for effort and it was good to see our fans show their appreciation for that at the final whistle.

At the final whistle, I remember Liam coming over, and Kasper had the balls to come right down to our end, stood there shaking his head as I hurled abuse at him. As for the rest, dont think any of them had the nerve to come within 30 yards of us. Notably, Powell and Cambiasso were off the pitch - and probably on the coach - before we got to the concourse. Lets face it, they dont appreciate our support, most of them go through the motions. Fast falling out of love with this lot, seeing them for what they are, employees.

I don't know about you but I'd prefer to see our football club fighting relegation in the Premier League than watching us score for fun in League One. We've waited 10 years for this, and of course it's not going to be easy. I think some perspective is needed. Yelling at the players is helping nothing apart from your own ego.
steveherbe Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Are you joking kid? Hey, thanks for the compliment. No, not joking, I told him he wasnt good enough for my club. And after seeing Johnny Anderson, Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Mark Wallington, Kasey Keller - need I go on? - I know a good keeper, and Kasoer is not good enough. Opinions mate, I dont rate him. Decent shot stopper, hates crosses like Dracula. Watch their 2nd goal tonight, through his legs. Our Ben would have saved that

It may be an 'opinion' but it's a warped one. Was there any reason to hurl abuse at him? It's hardly going to make them feel any better is it? They come over to applaud you as fans and the best you can do is hurl abuse. Great 'fan' you are.

I don't think Banks, Shilton, Anderson, Wallington or Keller are available to play.

Thanks for your input, I genuinely appreciate it. You are right of course, I should have praised Kasper for his match winning saves, exceptional handling of crosses, and awesome distribution. I mean, it only cost me £110 for 3 tickets, so for that giveaway price I'm not really entitled to express my opinion. Still, at least I can console myself with the thought that I dont have to swear at fellow fans to make a point.

Hurling abuse today at Kasper is hardly justified, is it?
The Doctor Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Grow up Steveherbe - if you're old enough to have seen Banks, Shilton & Wallington play, you're old enough to know that acting like a self-entitled twat is pathetic.
Vicki Vixen Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Nuge was bloody awful again, didnt see him do one thing. Just no bloody threat, surely we are better than this? Come on now. This gem and the Kasper thing in one evening? Trolling after a defeat is very poor taste.

It is counterproductive and quite frankly immature.
steveherbe Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Move on, fed up now. I'm wrong as per...... Just love my club, and hurting massively down here in Hampshire
Monsell1976 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Just got back, can't fault the players for effort up till their first goal. They just never looked like scoring, basically just everything that's been said over the last six games, which is frustrating that the management persist with it when it's not working. We seem to lack quality, confidence and composure, more due to the systems they are being asked to play in my opinion. We held our own first half, but Southampton created numerous chances, and was a matter of time before they scored. Don't like playing the 4 midfielders, very much alike, barring king but he offered very little. Frustrating we play so deep, that when vardy did play on the break, he had no support and lost the ball as he had no options, other than trying to run at them. Very worrying times as we look lost and things don't look like changing anytime soon.
Larry_LCFC Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 It hurts more going from one of the best moments ever against Man United to this in the space of a month. I honestly don't understand how it has gone so badly wrong...
Corky Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 We were well organised for 75 minutes and restricted an impressive team to few real chances, the issue was that we looked so bereft of a threat going forward. Vardy ran everywhere but was given so little service to be really testing their defence. The diamond worked better in a defensive way, but going forward it didn't have enough punch. Schlupp performed quite well at left back but his use of the ball was careless and at times unrealistic. We don't look like scoring at the moment, defensively we are relatively solid but these 1-0 and 2-0 defeats will keep happening if we don't threaten enough. However, we should've scored and Wood's miss was dreadful, it could've made the last five minutes slightly edgy for them. The fans were brilliant today, loud, consistent with backing to the team and even clapped the players off after a fourth defeat without scoring. They can take credit for their display.

I've hardly spoke since the game finished and am slowly (need to speed up) drinking myself into oblivion.

Exactly my thoughts. There's enough there for me to think we will be alright this year, we just need to find the balance between looking solid and also troubling the other team.
