Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 did you not see the one that went for a throw? Yeh I seem to remember all our players running too far forward instead of spreading out. It went to the back post and no fvcker was there. Besides you're picking out one corner? What about all those ones that were delivered to the penalty spot? What about the one Morgan headed over?
Matt Posted 8 November 2014 Author Posted 8 November 2014 You can still get 2/1 on us being relegated? Get on before it goes odds on!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 They're not good enough in that formation no. Drinkwater & James are wasted wide in a diamond, and don't get me started on Mahrez not having played a minute in our last two games They defended admirably as instructed but Jesus of Nazareth, we couldn't score in a brothel Diamond does need to go I've been saying it for weeks, hard to attack like a lot of you are demanding that we do with zero width.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Fuller thoughts to follow but that was way too negative, again. We look absolutely devoid of creativity and Mahrez and Knockaert warm the bench and sofa respectively. That said, if we go down it won't be about games like today. Poor showings against Burnley, West Brom and Newcastle will prove to be our undoing.
GingerrrFox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Too many of our players aren't good enough for this level. The only mistake Nigel made was placing faith in the players that got promoted to step up and be good enough for this level. He needs to get rid of some of the dross not good enough for the Premier League and bring in a few more players with quality in the January transfer window. Nugent/Wood/Hammond/Konchesky all not good enough for this level.
danfox76 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 nigel just said that was our best 11 players ???????????????????????????
Karljohn Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 People dont understand just how difficult this league is says Nigel. Hmmm.
Kitchandro Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 WHAT? Nothing wrong with his corners at all. Almost all of them today were into a good area with whip Can you hear now or do I need to type it in capitals?
1993fox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 I'm more depressed by the way our fans are giving up more than the team's performance. The Pearson must go stuff is just knee-jerk, ill-thought out crap. I don't want Pearson out but I respectfully disagree with your statement. A lot of the criticisms against him do make a lot of sense considering the way we've performed since Manchester United. Arguing for Pearson to be sacked is slowly becoming more and more justifiable I'm afraid.
kingfox Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Didn't expect us to pick up anything from the game today, but yet again it's the way Pearson set us out, since Manchester United his team selections & formations have been utter crap. He seems like he doesn't have a clue what to play, we go with four central midfielders again today something which didn't work against West Brom, we created very little last week, did Pearson expect some massive improvement by playing the same formation this week, if he did then he is seriously deluded, because yet again we created fvck all. Yet again he sticks with De Laet, who yet again plays with no support in front of him, against an in form Dusan Tadic, and not surprisingly yet again he was piss poor. Finally how are we meant to create chances, when our most creative players are either on the bench, or not even in the squad? Negative approaches, and a lack of balance. Nigel has been seriously fantastic, but right now he looks out of his depth.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 What about if we'd scored first? Battered, shmattered, we got beat, we got zero points. You may well be right, but it wouldn't be very likely because we've seen how dangerous Southampton are. We tried to pull off another Stoke away and it hasn't come off. If we'd beaten Burnley, which we should have and drawn with WBA, which we should have, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Today was a bit of a write-off, Sunderland in two weeks' time isn't. Addendum: If we're this negative against Sunderland and QPR, even perhaps Liverpool, I'll be a hell of a lot more worried.

Besides you're picking out one corner? What about all those ones that were delivered to the penalty spot? What about the one Morgan headed over? No it cleared the man on the far post. Although I agree our movement is the box is dreadful and our center halves aren't great at attacking headers unless their given a lot of space
Brooksy Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Just realised we didn't have a shot on target. Shameful, that.
bellind Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 If NP thinks the players are good enough, what hope is there.
iancognito Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Everyones entitled to their own opinion. Some are positive some are not Will you still want NP if we are bottom by Jan? Playing like this we will be and i want my club to stay up Thats my opinion Yes and I remember the "I'm sorry Nigel" thread last season when we stormed the division. Some people don't learn. Getting rid of a manager at this stage of the season and giving the players a whole new back room team to get used to would be madness. I want my club to stay up but I'll back the players and manager who gave us so much recent success. I've seen this club's fans turn on managers like Little & O'Neill and then wonder why we ended up dropping two divisions. Of course I'll be concerned if we're in the bottom three in January, but it's not January, it's November. We were never going to storm this division and people need to reign in their expectations. If we change manager and we're still bottom three in 4 months will you call for him to be sacked too?
Matt Posted 8 November 2014 Author Posted 8 November 2014 Nothing wrong with his corners at all. Well, I always say people are entitled to their opinions, I never said they were right but if that your opinion good luck to you...
lgfualol Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 nigel just said that was our best 11 players ??????????????????????????? If he did he is an absolute pleb
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Nothing wrong with his corners at all. Almost all of them today were into a good area with whip Can you hear now or do I need to type it in capitals? His set pieces were piss poor, and on the odd occasions he does get a decent ball in the chances of us getting something out of it are minimal unless it hits Ulloa. He put one ok ball in our of 4 corners and event hat was a little too far out.

Yes we would, because we'd have got zero points from playing against Newcastle, Swansea and Southampton by being too negative, and I would still be concerned about that. And we'd still have not scored in games. Why should we have beaten Burnley? We didn't deserve to, we were poor and tried to hang on to a slender lead.

Like the one that landed on Morgans head on the penalty spot then, or the several that were into the same area and Southampton players headed them clear.
foxinsocks Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Nigel has been seriously fantastic, but right now he looks out of his depth. There should be no shame in admitting that Nigel is out of his depth - in most walks of like if you get promoted up to a bigger job then you have someone you can go to for help and advice. Everyone at the club must see he is struggling - they need to get some help in so that we learn to be a premier league club. Switching manager is always a gamble.... so sorting out the problems we have is my preference - but is Nigel the sort of guy to ask for help?
Raj Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Sunderland at home will give us a more realistic view of where we are. Losing this wasnt a suprise now was it??? Lose to sunderland and heaven forbid qpr and it'll be over bar the shouting
dayday Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 If that's our best 11,what message does that give out to the other players?
Bettsj2 Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 At least Nick Powell came on and showed us he's not going to be the person he's expected to be anymore. If that's our best 11,what message does that give out to the other players? That they are REALLY shit.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 8 November 2014 Posted 8 November 2014 Yes we would, because we'd have got zero points from playing against Newcastle, Swansea and Southampton by being too negative, and I would still be concerned about that. We should have beaten Burnley because we shouldn't have been in that position. We ****ed it up, which is why I've said during our bad run it's the one game that genuinely concerned me. We have to face it that most teams in this league are better than us, and we'll have to try and nick points away.
