"Is that it for Nigel Pearson"

He really said that?

It's not like the whole 'Pearson Out' thing has properly mounted up yet. Seems like the sort of thing you'd say if his sacking seemed more or less inevitable, which it clearly isn't.

Yeah he really did ... and even on the edit of the highlights they left it on ... so it wasn't something he was embarrassed about otherwise they'd have edited it out.

Yep I agree .... exactly the sort of thing you say when you're cut adrift and hopelessly out of touch.

Having met the guy a few times I can confirm he is a legit bellend. All he cares about is himself and making himself look good. He is a cretin and anyone who defends him who has met him is either lying or actually forget the or they are lying.

Maybe, but you can't even tell the difference between a point and a speculative question.

It was edited before you picked up on it, clever boy.

Nigel or Stringer?

Nigel or Stringer?

I've met both Nigel is a great guy, he offered to share a taxi with me and my mate to the ground from the station. He has so much time for the fans it is almost unbelievable, seriously great guy. Stringer is a bellend, he does not give a shit about anyone other than himself, he thinks he is funny and above everyone. When I was on the football forum he was loving the fact that he was breaking the news that Peaches Geldof had died pathetic.

You're not wrong. Stringer is the ultimate opportune careerist. He loves it when he has the chance to stir up controversy to help with his ambitions of furthering his media career.

Nigel however is a top, top gentlemen.

He's good enough (in terms of local radio) as a commentator. He's a piss poor self-appointed journalist. The way he shoved a microphone in Sven's face to ask him if he'd been sacked was nothing short of disgraceful.

Every game last season when we went ahead he was always looking for that attention-grabbing soundbite. I used to cringe every time I heard it.

This comment is just utterly ridiculous. There has not been any sign from the owners or the club or the media that he might lose his job or is under a lot of pressure.

To say "is that it for Nigel Pearson" bearing all that in mind is just stupid and, again, looking for attention. He just wants to say "yeah I called that last game".

He is an absolute ****.

Maybe Ian Stringer knows more than we do and NP is close to the end?

Stringer is IMO a breath of fresh air when he's on air - a live lire and Foxes fan (albeit an 'unbiased' RL broadcaster)  - be careful what you wish for and then compare him to previous RL commentators?!

Keep up the good work Mr Stringer!

Of course he was/is. He's a reporter, what do you expect? They all do it. If his "attention-grabbing soundbite" attracts more listeners then he's done his job well.

Guy is just a cock at times saying stupid and ridiculous things when I haven't heard any of this said by us fans during or after the game in the stands.

Then wonders why NP gives him a hard time

His job is to commentate on a football match. I really don't mind the guy, it's only Radio Leicester after all. But he's from that new breed of Clive Tyldesley type commentator where it's all about him, and gets as many hyperbolic soundbites in to every game in the hope they'll pop up on BBC retrospectives in years to come.

I expect him to not repeatedly yell "THIS IS OUR YEARRRRRRR" after every damn goal or win.

Something spontaneous like "allez les bleus" after Knocky's goal vs. Forest. Yeah that was great. He just persisted in over-confidence last year and was determined to have these pre-prepared lines that he'd be able to look back on and say "wasn't that great commentary" etc...

That's what it feels like to me.

Sure, reporters try and get more listeners. I understand it's his job to do so.

It doesn't mean he has to go about it the way he does at times.

Don't you think this over-reactionary BS is exactly the sort of thing he shouldn't be doing as a supposedly balanced commentator?
