Leicester boss Nigel Pearson says fans can 'stay at home'

Do people still think we pay his salary? It's not 1995 anymore.

Gate receipts are a very minimal part of club income in this day and age.

I can't believe people are trying to justify this on the basis that nurses and teachers get abuse from the public on a regular basis, do you think that's an acceptable way to behave?

I HAVE SKY .yes with my 2 season tickets as well as food , kit  ,  I really do  pay his wages !! and if a restaurant/shop manager abused customers whether rightly or wrongly , it would soon close !! its called being a professional .

Do you balls, most of the Sky money is raised from abroad, the PL's income isn't majority based here. Your contribution wouldn't make a jot of difference if you took it away.

As for the restaurant analogy, if someone swore and abused a waiter like that guy did towards Mr Pearson last night, he would be barred from the place whether he was paying for a meal or not, I'd be happy if the same applied to the bloke last night.

Some people went far too far yesterday. It reminded me of the early days under MON when some were spitting at him :o

That said, Pearson is an arrogant bar-steward who seems to show little humility. Its becoming harder to warm to him.

The thing that grinds my gears is that it isn't the first time he has told fans to stay at home if they don't like it. WRONG! If we don't like it's because Pearson is incapable of doing his job sufficiently at this level, poor summer recruitment and blind faith in a team that quite frankly isn't good enough. It's not our fault Pearson failed to address these issues, the blame lies solely on Pearson's shoulders yet he tries to blame it on the fans, that's poor football management that is.

If a restaurant had an abusive customer they would tell them to **** off and to stop upsetting the other paying customers who are getting on with their meal.

He's not randomly abusing people, he had a go at one person who was being an utter cock end.

Anyway saying you pay he wages, so do I, and I give him permission to abuse you on my time.

And mine.

This Durrham is a complete tool. Never listened to him before but 2 minutes in and he's saying Pearson should be sacked. He is so idiot.

"The fans made a huge noise to help them to promotion".

lol Did we bollocks. You can tell he never went last season.

Well he's quick to moan about fans moaning because we haven't won in nine matches but he is incapable of ever holding his hands up and saying "you know what, I got it wrong today and I apologise".

Has he called us "bottle jobs" yet. Cock.

I've moaned and groaned at football, I've never sat there directly shouting and abusing one of our best managers, this isn't normal behaviour at all and it's injurious to even try and pretend it is. It's massively different from a fan showing a bit of displeasure.

This doesn't seem an isolated case either - from a few posts and reading on Twitter numerous people have said this isn't the first, second or even third time this bloke has gone 'too far' - he's seems to consistently behave in this way. The club should refund his season ticket and tell him he isn't wanted.

The bloke has over stepped the mark by a long way, and if he's done this on numerous occasions, and if he cannot control himself from having a go at the manager, he should have his season ticket cancelled or relocated to another part of the ground.

The bit in the post about moaning, was not aimed at you or the incident, but more at the people in here that think anybody who moans or groans during the game are plastic are in the wrong.

I was stating no matter who you are, we all moan out loud, and have little outbursts if frustration, which when done collectively, the players hear, doesn't make people embarrassments, or fickle fans, and nothing like the behaviour of the fan last night.

And the perspective bit, 32000 there last night, there was one fan over stepping the mark with the manager, lots of moaning elsewhere, but that doesn't make us bad supporters like some in here make out.

Fans are free to whinge and moan as much as they want, what they aren't free to do is abuse people. I've moaned and never had him have a go at me, I'd imagine that's the same for everyone but a couple of gob shites who think paying for a ticket gives them the right to be a bell end.

What was actually said between Mr. Pearson and the fan?

I would love to spend some time with Nige and tell him what I think.

First thank him and the players for last season

Second Let him know most of us can see he and the players are most of the time trying there hardest.

Third as long as we make it a fight to the end hope he stays to engineer our return next season.

Then shake his hand.

other than finishing our chances better I thought we had a good game last night 20 chances to there 11.

I also felt we finished the stronger with a back 2 and keeper playing sweeper and going up for corners.

Most others watching the game in my local said other than the finishing we were the better team.

Even a Liverpool fan said we did not deserve nothing from it.

All this I'm a paying customer I can do what I like is bollocks. Whether in a supermarket or a football stadium if someone is acting a **** they deserved to be told so. Don't give it out if you can't take it.

Yeah he's told a fan to stay home before, and look at what happened, NP got on with the job and smashed the league and gained promotion as champions. So, by the same token he should be given time to fo the job now and not have to listen to abusive language aimed at him and his players. He entitled to react, and they're a strong group he's moulded.

Do see what you are saying.... but we wouldnt get club sponsors if there was no one watching football... or tv money or advertising boards around the ground, so yes, it IS ultimately the fans that are responsible for him getting his wages. no fans no money. Know fans - know money ;-)
