DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 According to todays Daily hateMail NP is going to use todays press conference to apologise. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2861371/Nigel-Pearson-apologise-spat-Leicester-fan-Liverpool-defeat.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 In what form will be interesting to see. To the club? To the fan? To the fans? If indeed he actually does. He hasn't got the balls. He can't even apologise to the fans for the shocking performances they have to tolerate.
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 He hasn't got the balls. He can't even apologise to the fans for the shocking performances they have to tolerate. I'm still waiting for an apology for last season's title win.
dnewty Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I'm still waiting for an apology for last season's title win. Thats it then last seasons title win means that no one should ever complain about anything ever again
sphericalfox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30349826 NP looks like he'd be a Bon Jovi fan
Guest Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Thats it then last seasons title win means that no one should ever complain about anything ever again No but it should help to remind you that a little perspective is a good thing. Not a fan of perspective?
MC Prussian Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 He hasn't got the balls. He can't even apologise to the fans for the shocking performances they have to tolerate.Shocking, I know. How dare he serve us defeat after defeat after defeat?I think the large part of the fanbase are much more tolerant than you're willing to admit. But keep on holding the flag of the few.
Babylon Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Why do fans feel like they need an apology over stuff all the time? If I go to the cinema and it's a shit film I don't expect an apology from anyone about it. A lot of fans are precious little creatures who act like little children when it comes to football. Boo hoo I didn't like that performance, apologise to me!!! It's an unpredictable game, get over yourselves!
Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Over the last ten years football fans have gone from being the most masculine sports fans around to a load of lilly livered pansies desperate to be offended by anything. There's more of a stiff upper lip attitude in an X Factor audience than a football stadium sometimes these days.

Dr The Singh Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 How would you know? Have you ever been in an X Factor audience? Surely not...! Me and him will be on the next series as duet, he will find out for himself

Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Me and him will be on the next series as duet, he will find out for himself I thought he was doing a duet with Uncle Arry...a rendition of 'It must be Love'?

Babylon Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I think you should apologise! I apologise for my poor performance on here recently.

Guest MattP Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 there's definitely a stiff something when Louis is watching another boy band. Apparently since Stephen Gately's death a devastated Louis has been all over the place, doesn't know where his mind, body or heart is. Fortunately for him though his penis is still going in One Direction. I think society in general has. Completely agree.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 I can promise you I haven't! Yeah yeah we know.....
Richmondfox Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 They want an apology from the manager for allegedly swearing, yet no one around that area seemed to speak up and show their offence to the ballonhead when he was swearing at Pearson. The excuse of they should be role models doesn't wash with me. The parents are the ones who should be role models, no one else.
foxinsocks Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Sad that thais were barracked... can we have the minutes applause back... and one for nige?
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 5 December 2014 Posted 5 December 2014 Sad that thais were barracked... can we have the minutes applause back... and one for nige? Forget that. 1 minutes applause and 89 of silence. How about 90 mins of raucous support for our boys and our manager, starting on Sunday and throughout the season. We need to adopt that underdog battling mentality (because that's what we are) instead of the entitlement attitude and expectance that we currently have.
MC Prussian Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 Forget that. 1 minutes applause and 89 of silence. How about 90 mins of raucous support for our boys and our manager, starting on Sunday and throughout the season. We need to adopt that underdog battling mentality (because that's what we are) instead of the entitlement attitude and expectance that we currently have. If you wanted to be precise, you'd have to finish your sentence by "... the entitlement attitude and expectance currently displayed by a small minority of the fans". They're doing the club, the manager, the team as well as the vast majority of fans no favour with their behaviour. I think it's fair to say most fans knew in advance that this would be a tough season and that we would have to expect more losses than wins. Yet the camp stands united behind the manager, the spirit is high (as explained by the Birch on Thursday night).
shailen Posted 6 December 2014 Posted 6 December 2014 I think this whole incident shows how much Pearson cares about the club and wants us to do well. He could have easily sat there and ignored the guy and took his pay packet home. Although I do not condone what he said it's nice to see he has passion for the club. For anyone saying he's bitter, Fergie was very bitter and look where he took United.

For anyone saying he's bitter, Fergie was very bitter and look where he took United. That's how to put a positive spin on something? I think he's under pressure and snapped. Simple as. What's more important is that the club appear to have backed him in the 'no apology' stance. Rather than forcing him to do what he didn't want to do, it seems like they have let him say he's not apologising. Good on him, and them.
