Guest Basildon Fox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 They said on Talksport this evening that NP is to be investigated by the club over the incident with the fan last night. Do not know anymore than that. The club are obviously taking what was said seriously. Could this be the final nail in his coffin? The worst thing is the person he allegedly called a **** probably is one. Thoughts?
The Blue Moon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Yeah I reckon the fan is definitely a ****

Do not know anymore than that. The club are obviously taking what was said seriously. Could this be the final nail in his coffin? The worst thing is the person he allegedly called a **** probably is one. Thoughts? I heard the same thing tonight. Was it me or did Durham seem to be revelling in this? Should be interesting. The bloke may well be a ****, but Pearson is a public figure in top flight football. So he needs to be careful. This might be something, or nothing. We'll see.
Magictv Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Nah, talksport just trying to fill some airtime.
Larry_LCFC Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Mirror reporting the club are carrying out an internal investigation after Pearson allegedly told a fan to "**** off and die." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-investigate-nigel-pearson-bust-up-4742610
Benji Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Mirror reporting the club are carrying out sb internal investigation after Pearson allegedly told a fan to "**** off and die." More importantly, they've not confirmed if he has?
cjslcfc Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 I think the club are just trying to make it look like they are doing things properly by investigating it. I doubt something will come of it. That's my personal opinion, of course.
Unabomber Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Look at that face, he wouldn't speak so rudely.
Rob1742 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Thing that gets me is that people are allowed to say what they want, but either a player or manager stick up for themselves, they get in bother. They are only human, and i back Pearson for having a go back. Don't have a problem with it
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 More importantly, they've not confirmed if he has? What, that the "fan" has ****ed off and died?
Benji Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 What, that the "fan" has ****ed off and died? Dark.
StanSP Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 I get the feeling Pearson sees everyone as one of the dogs that attacked him
Monsell1976 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Just a thought and not saying it will happen, before everyone jumps to his defense, but this may show the owners intentions one way or the other. If they really are looking at sacking him, under his new contract, sacking him would be a very expensive exercise, but if found guilty, he could be sacked for gross miss conduct free. I'm not a lawyer and just guessing at the legalities, but I would say if they back him over this, they are going to back him all season.
Danno Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 He deserves a contract extension after saying that imo.
MPH Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Well, If the club wanted an opportunity to get rid of him without having to pay a severance packet, then this is their chance. Just a shame that Moyes has buggered off to Spain as the thought of Pulis horrifies me..
Sir Fynwy Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Ban the fan and back Pearson, it's cheaper and far more sensible.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 More seriously, my usual experience of this kind of thing is that someone gets a bit of lip from an employee because they've been a very annoying customer and what they do is go to the boss of that employee, exaggerate what actually happen, get their mates to back them up and savvy employers go, yeah, were sorry about that, we'll tell him not to do it again.
Stuliasz Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 This reminds me of that scene in Extras where Ricky Gervais' mistakenly tells a Downs' syndrome kid to be quiet and it escalates through the press to him punching the kid and his wheelchair-bound mother in the face. I wish Stringer would just bugger off to become a tabloid journalist for the gutter press.
Jace Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 The club have just come to a decision from the investigation and the outcome is Nigel Pearson was right the fan is a ****
chapero82 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 The fan should have known better than to mess with a man who took on a pack of wild dogs and won
NewburyFox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 These replies came after Stringer asked if anybody had heard anything from the bench. See the bottom one. Ian replied to this asking if he really said that (a tweet that's he's now deleted). Don't know if it's linked to this article but worth pointing out that this article could be sparked by one made up tweet by a 16 year old.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 As I hear it was all just a big misunderstanding and NP thought he was addressing Ian Stringer.
bovril Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Ban the fan and back Pearson, it's cheaper and far more sensible. Oh I don't know, sacking him for gross misconduct could save us a couple of million quid payout...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Mirror reporting the club are carrying out sb internal investigation after Pearson allegedly told a fan to "**** off and die." If that's what he said, then he should be ashamed of himself, and kicked out the club. That is dragging the good name of the Leicester City, into the dirt. He should be aware of his position, within the club, and think before he opens his mouth. Sounds to me that he's a frustrated and worried man, who's losing his grip.
