Mark_w Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Mirror sensationalizing again. His mate Andy shouted to him " we are playing like Cov!" to which Pearson replied " **** Cov, Andy" Are you a lawyer?
Thracian Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 So Nigel lost his shit, big deal, I think if he's being heckled by balloonheads he is entitled to respond in kind. Hope he gets no 'action' taken against him. The point really is that he's not entitled to respond in kind. The fan might be angry - as fans often are and as people often are in any kind of crowd that offers them the umbrella of protection. But Pearson is a senior employee of the kind who's given trust in the belief that they are big enough to deal with it. And, given their enormous responsibility in what is often a potentially dangerous situation, owners need to know that their senior staff are worthy of that trust.. Had Pearson's response (whatever it was) provoked even more anger than was presumably expressed by the fan, there's no telling what might have developed and who might have been put in danger. There's rarely a working day that I don't feel like flattening someone on the market either because of their bad manners to me or, more often, to someone else, but a firm "Excuse me?" usually reduces the tension and that's the way Pearson should have dealt with it. Quietly. To the point. But politely. If he did something else then he might well need to explain himself.
Fox42 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I get the feeling Pearson sees everyone as one of the dogs that attacked himHe probably sees everyone also as Romanians
DB11 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 God knows where I read it but allegedly the fan shouted "you're all out of jobs and you know it" ?
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 God knows where I read it but allegedly the fan shouted "you're all out of jobs and you know it" ? Very close or in that vein from what I've heard in the (now deleted) video.
Fox Ulike Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 "A Touch of Wasyl" "CSI: Poland" "NYPD (Know Your Place Dickhead) Black and Blue" "Law & Disorder" "Murder He Wrote" hoho.. All gold. Can I chip in with "The Mentalist"... Hoho I didn't even need to change it. BOOM!
Guest MattP Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Absolutely delighted to see just how many people are backing Nige on this. The Mirror have been bombarded on FB.
Fox Ulike Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 As a fans' representative, Ginnetta should be saying: “I didn’t see or hear the incident myself, and we have got no reliable sources as to exactly what happened or what was said by whom… so I’ll await the outcome of the club’s investigation before commenting… speculating isn't helpful”. Cliff Ginnetta will say literally anything to get his name in the papers. #ginnettaout

Cliff Ginnetta will say literally anything to get his name in the papers. #ginnettaout I think there might be a few sour grapes here too. He was snubbed at his player-of-the-season awards this year and had a good old moan at the club's staff and how they disregard the supporters' club. Either way, I still maintain Pearson has been a bit clever with his comments. So long as (a) he gets away with it and (b) it works, we may well look back on his actions the other night as having been quite calculated. Don't know enough about what happened to either criticise or defend him, but as it stands I think he should be alright. Another loss on Sunday, of course, and it may come back to bite him on the bum. But I'd prefer to judge him on (future!) results rather than a daft little exchange with an over-emotional fan.

Another cock knocker who thinks he's the voice of the fans like Stringy.
Babylon Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Very close or in that vein from what I've heard in the (now deleted) video. I believe the video only showed a short section and it had been going on for a while... hence the person starting to film it. On a side note, I have it on good authority from a box holder that the owners got some abuse as well.
Corky Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 I hope the owners apologise for turning up as it clearly incited the fans.
Vossen Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Crap with the media, crap with the fans...Needs some serious help....ie a range rover with the window down ;-)

On a side note, I have it on good authority from a box holder that the owners got some abuse as well. Well, that's just completely unacceptable (if true). Why do people think they can just say and do what they want?!

Quite right as well given Cliff's comments regarding Nigel selling Bamba and his criticism of Vardy and Drinkwater.
Fox92 Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 There we have it people. Jason Bourne @JasonBourne1986 42m42 minutes ago Harry Redknapp says Nigel Pearson "doesn't deserve any abuse especially from his own fans because he's done a great job at Leicester." #LCFC
Babylon Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Crap with the media, crap with the fans...Needs some serious help....ie a range rover with the window down ;-) You suggesting someone should do a drive by? There we have it people. Jason Bourne @JasonBourne1986 42m42 minutes ago Harry Redknapp says Nigel Pearson "doesn't deserve any abuse especially from his own fans because he's done a great job at Leicester." #LCFC Jesus... about the first semi positive thing they have mentioned. Must have been reading the boards, keep up the balance a bit chaps.
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 December 2014 Posted 4 December 2014 Crap with the media, crap with the fans...Needs some serious help....ie a range rover with the window down ;-) This incident actually appears to have increased his popularity with a lot of us. I and many others are sick of hearing people attack the team and accuse them of not trying. It was poorly worded but Pearson's reaction reflects a similar feeling to a quite a few on here.
