I'm not a grammar Nazi by any means, but Jesus Christ come on!

Strange, because I've met Nige a number of times and each time he's come across as a nice guy and very professional. Pressure is obviously getting to him, as it would anyone, but he can't go around replying to fans as we're the ones who essentially pay his and the players' wages so we're all entitled to opinions regardless of if they are correct or stupid.

I didn't hear what was said from SK4 but Pearson was clearly in some kind of heated argument with a few fans and he was waving his arms around etc. Now whilst I don't doubt for a second that the fan in question was probably a cvnt, Pearson should be professional enough to ignore it. He is a Premier League Manager in the spotlight and he is representing our club in the media. People are entitled to be frustrated with the appalling run we are on and some will voice that frustration. I am disappointed that he didn't hold it together because all that proves to me is that he is feeling the pressure and he is a man on the edge. Not exactly what confidence is built on. If there is any truth in what the media has reported, Pearson should be ashamed and he should be punished whether he is our manager or not. I'm getting sick and tired of his arrogance.

disagree, if there's one thing this game needs it's more managers who are willing to swear at fans and administer headbutts. cloughie would be proud, another case of the shít hitting the fan

NO!

We don't essentially pay his wages.

However, we are all entitled to opinions. That is true. Is Pearson, therefore, entitled to his as well?

I'm glad he put a fan in his place. Many seem to have far too much of a sense of self-entitlement when it comes to football.

I can't for one minute believe the club are looking into this.

Nige was rehearsing his after match interview with stringer.

Some sad little tw4t hear's him thinks he is talking to him and complains.

Personally think Nige needs a body guard sure we have someone who knows how to use a weapon.

We should invite these moronic "fans" in so that Wasyl can investigate their grievances, in the way he keeps investigating opposing strikers. Nigel wouldn't have to raise his voice again for a while.

Am finding it hilarious recently how opposing players keep ending up face down on the pitch in the vicinity of Wasyl and he's rarely getting free-kicks against him, never mind yellow cards.  :xmaslaugh:

I think there was a point when he literally ran over one of the opposition players. It might have been Lallana. Poor guy was on the floor for a while. It was on their counter-attack as well.

So Nigel lost his shit, big deal, I think if he's being heckled by balloonheads he is entitled to respond in kind. Hope he gets no 'action' taken against him.

I'd forgotten his balloonhead comment, this needs to be used more often.

Both are likely to be at fault.

The fans pay the money and are entitled to vent their anger (politely) when what they see is not up to the standard they expect.

The manager is a ridiculously well paid senior employee who knows he'll be criticised when things go wrong and should be big enough and humble enough to cope with it civilly.

No, that doesn't entitle fans to foul-mouth him but retaliation is no defence for a player and I can't see how it would be seen to be a defence for the manager either. The passion I appreciate. Response is understandable. But abuse is out of order and potentially highly inflamatory.

Pearson needs to learn from it as he needs to learn so much and so quickly at Premiership level.

But irrespective of any investigation - and I'd actually admire him publicly defending his players if he does it responsibly - I think his days here are numbered.

The lack of goals, the long run of bad results, the questionable close-season activity which has left us with limited options, the lack of inspiration necessary to lift us from the doldrums and our continued failure to get the basics right or to evolve a philosophy all add up to a lot of negatives.

One inexplicably long run of bad results is bad enough but lessons should have been learned from that to avoid another and, this time, I don't see any easy answers. Someone asked what three things you'd do to improve our situation but there's a lot more needed than that.

Wasyl is leading the case.

Wasyl would actually warrant his own cop/crime TV series or he could enter a similar film career as did Vinnie Jones.

I'd definitely pay for it to watch it.
