Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Today was really poor! Other than the James shot first half we didn't really look like scoring. Kramaric scored that header from no where. Pearson needed to go in December, when we had more than enough time to turn this season around. Today we had an amazing opportunity to progress through to the quarter finals but we blew it with our rubbish performance. Even when losing 1-0 we didn't show a great deal of urgency! Has there been any urgency for a long time now? NoIt's been awful Something needs to change
Strokes Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I think we could have at least made a show of it.We might still yet.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Best chance in a lifetime of doing something in the FA Cup and he's just thrown it away. Unforgivable With how negative the original line up was we were never going toLet alone the fact he wouldn't change things around
hackneyfox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Could be worse. Could be Sunderland. Or Chelsea. Or Southampton. Or West Ham. Or Crystal Palace. Not trying to take anything away from today's abhorrent performance in between minutes 45 and 70. I'd sooner be in there league positions than ours. I'd sooner have their managers than ours. As for your last point, althogh we were unlucky not to score in the first half that was still a very poor 45 mins and we weren't much better for the last 20.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Best chance in a lifetime, You must smoke or drink a fuking lot. Either that or be suffering from early onset alzheimer's which to be fair would excuse the nonsensical posting.

I didn't say we'd win it, but we had a damn good cahnce of at least making the semis with so many of top teams out.

I know what you said, you said best chance of winning it in a lifetime, which is a ludicrous comment. Given a lifetime is around 70 years and we've featured in several finals and semi finals with much better sides than we have now. But you know, your the bloke wetting yourself about Paul Konchesky going out for something to eat so what should I expect, have a few Panda Shandys with the game by any chance?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Fans were singing 'There's only one Nigel Pearson' before today's game so hes clearly loved by supporters....doubt that opinion has changed after 1 match to 'Sack Nigel Pearson'Don't think I have ever wanted us to sack a manager before (well maybe David Pleat ) but seriously something has to changeI just wish he would go for it against sides like Villa Just so negative Just to please Sir perfect I have added Taylor and Holloway to my list of previously wished for sackings . . . .
Sir Fynwy Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Don't think I have ever wanted us to sack a manager before (well maybe David Pleat ) but seriously something has to change I just wish he would go for it against sides like Villa Just so negative You didn't want managers like Taylor or Levein sacking? Wow

"Unlucky" doesn't come into it when you look at our record all season, we are simply shit. We have a few good prospects who can't produce week in week out cause they are surrounded by shit
I blame Wellens Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 "Unlucky" doesn't come into it when you look at our record all season, we are simply shit. We have a few good prospects who can't produce week in week out cause they are surrounded by shit Very true. I do think we have some great prospects but you are only as strong as your weakest player.
SecretPro Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Could be worse. Could be Sunderland. Or Chelsea. Or Southampton. Or West Ham. Or Crystal Palace. "Best chance in a lifetime"? We were lucky to even have it made this far - remember that Newcastle goal that was that wasn't given? Not trying to take anything away from today's abhorrent performance in between minutes 45 and 70. I used to think you knew what you were on about, now you just appear to be a Pearson apologist just for the sake of it. If you think we were only poor between 45-70 minutes you are either ****ing blind or delusional. Jesus, it doesn't take much to please some of the 'die hards' on here - a performance and managerial **** up like that and your banging on about a 25 minute period. I know you like to have your say on here Prussian, and you like to shout down or patronise anybody who dares go against your opinion but **** me you talk some shit.
Lionheart Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I definitely think today was a turning point for alot of people, you could sense the mood change against him which I haven't seen so far this season.
Pearson Nigel Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 "Unlucky" doesn't come into it when you look at our record all season, we are simply shit. We have a few good prospects who can't produce week in week out cause they are surrounded by shit Simple: play like your life depends on it.........unless we do what Suderland did last season........by winning at places like Everton & Man City we are down. So really looks like this is it.......I,have not minded the experience of this season until today......as passion and know how was not there..... With no idea of what changes could have been made to turn it around.......... In front of great support and a TV audience. At Arsenal made me proud......But today made very angry! Nigel should for once eat some humble pie and apologise for the utter cr*p we played today! We have in the meantime need 4 points from next two games to stand any chance... But as it looks as though we are going down. WE have to decide If Nigel,is capable of learning from his many errors this season & if we think he is STILL THE BEST MAN to bring us up?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 You didn't want managers like Taylor or Levein sacking? WowGeneral ideal that I hate to see anyone sacked in any job reallyHowever obviously I was glad when Taylor went yes
Lcfc_1995 Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 The atmosphere in the away end after villa scored the 2nd goal just shows the supporters are now turning against pearson, not really seen anything like that before really, but it's understandable, today was just a laughable performance and pathetic.
Soar Fox Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Fans turned on Pearson and he knows it. Chants of "what a load of rubbish" and "you don't know what your doing were extremely loud were I was standing. He looked like a man who knew he didn't have long left at this club.

I didn't go but I spoke to a mate of mine who went today and he said it was like a light switch, before then it was all "we love pearson.." and all that. Soon as that second went in, it changed to "what a load of rubbish"
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I didn't go but I spoke to a mate of mine who went today and he said it was like a light switch, before then it was all "we love pearson.." and all that. josh_baskin Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Its weird, for me watching city this season is causing me that same feeling i got when i first watched that film the passion of the christ where there crucifying christ and the beating just seems to go on forever and then some......
dogadug Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 Only chants I could hear were 'Pearson sort it out'. And '1 Nigel Pearson' at the start. I was surprised I didn't hear any anti NP chants at the time but reading this thread confirms there were some.
Dan Posted 15 February 2015 Posted 15 February 2015 I've about had it with him now I'm afraid. There's just nothing I can defend. We are the absolute pits. Today was the worst performance of the season and given some of the other shocking efforts that is seriously saying something. I think he's got a lot of things going for him but he's looked so far out of his depth this season it's unreal. Problem is now I think if we sack Pearson, there's literally not a single realistic name out there who I think will both keep us up, and keep things positive in the long-term. I've always said I'd stick by Pearson even through the tough times as long as he's showing some kind of sign of progression. He has shown absolutely nothing to me this season to prove that he would be any good for us even if he got us back up. I've reached the point where I think he stays by default.

It's more likely a new manager to come in and still get us relegated. Yet in the championship Pearson is the best man to get us back up again. So we have a serious problem. The last thing we need is getting relegated with a new manager who wants to make a lot of changes in the summer. We all know this group of players can do well in the championship.

Wasted by a poor team selection and poor tactics!!!
