Look at the table

For all the hysterics about how we are bottom and Pearson should go and blah blah blah. There is 5 points between 20th and 14th. It's tight.

In literally TWO games we could be out of the danger zone. There are 23 games still to play.

Everyone calm down. Moaning solves nothing. Try and cheer the team on.

Our next 3 games

Man City home

West Ham away

Tottenham home

I cannot see a imminent win,we have won two games all season,so that gap is bigger than you think

We definitely can't afford to lose at Hull, failng to beat those around us is killing us. Also think the points needed to stay up will be a bit higher, I would happily accept going into our last game knowing a win and we stay up, tense yes but we are starting to become cut adrift. We are saying only 4 points from safety then it will be 6 and we will be saying, only 2 wins etc.

I still think our run in will help as although it looks tougher, hopefully by April Southampton, West Ham , Swansea and Newcastle will have slunk into mid table comfort.

Although it's tough it will make survival all the more enjoyable!

The only saving grace is that Hull, Burnley and QPR all have a tricky game or two over the same period.

Hull have Chelsea away, Swansea at home and Sunderland away before playing us and QPR have Everton away, West Brom at home and Arsenal away over the same period.

So we probably won't pick up many, if any, points over the next three, but neither will our rivals.

First of all, wheres our next win coming from?

Secondly, taking into account the first question all the teams above will not neccesserily lose meaning that 5 point gap - even the 3 point gap from safety is only likely to get bigger with an inability to win games.

I admire your optimism, but I can help thinking you are deluding yourself, we're ****ed.

These excuses basically rumble on regardless of the gap.

Said it in another thread. First it was just goal difference, then just a point and now just 4 points.

Its very admirable to have the 'get behind the lads and stop being negative' attitude but its starting to look like the ones with that attitude are just clutching at straws and those of us who identified problems weeks ago and were shot down are starting to look (unfortunately) justified.

The tide is once more turning and people are starting to examine what, to some of us, was the glaringly obvious.

5 points to 14th... so more than double the amount of points we've picked up in the last 10 games?

I'm really not sure what to think about Pearson now. I'd always stuck by him, then last night in a very pissed off state changed my mind. Now the dust has settled, I'm totally unsure.

This defence of what is happening is wearing a bit thin.

As I have said I totally accept some are not bothered about the run, and are totally convinced Pearson will turn this around.

But we are only one point from safety has gone, now we are saying, we are only 4 points from safety, and we have 23 games left.

On this current form, and looking at the games coming up, where do you think the points that will save us come from?

The reason people are fed up and concerned, is we don't expect anything from the man city game, but if we had any chance of staying up, we have just played the teams that we could get points off, and been found seriously wanting.

So after the man city game, and then the west ham game, where I expect zero points, we could be 10 points adrift at the bottom, can we be concerned and grumble then, or do we say look at the table, it's only 10 points.

Being bottom isn't the biggest issue, not picking points up is, the fact we don't look like being able to win any game at present is the biggest concern.

Yes yes..we are still in ot...in reality though just incase you've been abducted by aliens we haven't won in 10 games...can you understand that...no win in 10....Good lad....

P.s...what 2 games are we going to win by Jan???

Trouble is, I can't see where the next win is coming from. It's not just about results is it, it's performances too. And over this 10-game period most of the performances have been poor.

We haven't got a "winnable" game (on paper) until the 28th/Hull City.

Don't worry, we're not going anywhere soon. Southampton, Spurs, Liverpool Man City for us. We'll keep you company down there. :)

Do many Burnley fans want Dyche out?

Luckily for City, QPR, Burnley and Hull all have very difficult games next season so the inevitable defeat against Man City wont cause any further loss of ground

I imagine that, like Leicester, they'll have a loud minority of morons who want him out.
