Why no Pearson interview on radio Leicester

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me why Pearson was not interviewed on Radio Leicester? Are the fans not entitled to hear what our Manager has to say about the game on our local radio station?

Not good enough he needs to man up this is pure arrogance. He needs to explain what he is going to do to sort this out, loyal supporters deserve nothing less

The unprofessional and amateurish attitude of certain Radio Leicester employees has led to the players and manager boycotting the station. Another feather in old Strings' cap.

Listen to him interviewed by professionals on one of the many, many other media channels. You've got plenty to pick from.

I consider myself a loyal supporter and while I like listening to our manager's thoughts I support him in his little protest against RL (Stringer) at this time. He speaks to the club media and at press conferences anyway. You can still listen to them.

Fans are entitled to nowt...   BBC radio Leicester can request an interview but that's all... its not compulsory to grant one.

It doesn't really matter who asks the questions, the answers will be the same. Our Nige is not particularly forthcoming when it comes to providing insight.

Man wish I could upload the voicemail Stringer left on my phone the other week, sums him up. So so egotistical.

I'm not technically minded but surely you could play it on speaker phone, record it as an MP3 and post it or link us to it?

Possibly more hassle than it's worth though.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson felt that the performance of his team warranted at least a point after a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Barclays Premier League at King Power Stadium.
Frank Lampard’s goal shortly before half-time proved to be the difference on the day, but the Foxes can take solace at the way they applied themselves against the current league champions.

They restricted Manuel Pellegrini’s side to few chances, but at the other end, the champions’ defence stood firm to frustrate the Foxes, although the crowd showed their appreciation at the team’s efforts after the final whistle.

Speaking to Foxes Player, Pearson reflected: “I think certainly the way that the players performed today warranted a better result, but we have to again now deal with the fact that we’ve come away with nothing from the game.

“That is disappointing for all of us and certainly for the players who have been out there today, who have played very well against an accomplished side. It’s about looking forward to the next game now because this run of ours remains difficult to deal with for the players certainly - we are playing well but not really getting what we possibly deserve.

“That remains something for us to both rue in some ways but also to concentrate on in terms of the performance levels, which were good today.”

There was disappointment at the result, but as in recent weeks, performances have been encouraging, which gives positives for the team to take into next weekend’s trip to West Ham.

Pearson added: “[We need] clean sheets and goals. Man City didn’t really create anything of great note. Ben Hamer made a good save in the first half, but a save that I would expect him to make.

“The goal – you can pick the bones out of that if you want to – but in terms of creativity they didn’t create too much. From their perspective you could argue that they didn’t need to. They got ahead and then defended relatively solidly. I always felt that we looked pretty dangerous, but we’re just not, at the moment, finding the answers.

“Ultimately our supporters will need us to deliver points for them to keep their enthusiasm and faith for what we stand for as a football team.

“That’s up to us to find that answer, but I was very pleased with how we went about the game today. Unfortunately we didn’t find the answer but we go again next week.”
