iancognito Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Not good enough he needs to man up this is pure arrogance. He needs to explain what he is going to do to sort this out, loyal supporters deserve nothing less Garbage. Utter garbage. He gives his opinion to the Mercury, the press at conferences before and after the game, to national radio and to TV. If there was a public statement saying he won't talk to Radio Leicester it would be even better. A shocking excuse of a radio station, let down by the worst set of reporters/commentators they've ever had. And it's nothing to do with arrogance. That word gets chucked about randomly by peaople who have no idea about the guy's personality.

TrentFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I hope he has told RL where to get off. A siege mentality is not necessarily a bad thing in times of adversity. Gels people together. Good. Clawing back 5 points in 22 games is still nothing. Performance was better today and everyone gelling around a common 'enemy' won't do any harm. Apart from to some sensitive listenesr. And who really cares about them ?
iancognito Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 .......so Ian in Cognito when did you last go for tea with Nigel? Every night, I'm actually Mrs Pearson. But the points are valid. Log on to half a dozen football/news sites and get Pearson's views, watch the telly or whatever. Just because he doesn't talk to RL doesn't make him arrogant. I'd rather drive rusty nails through my toes than give that idiot Stringer and the decreasingly important RL an interview.
Claridge Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 not a bad idea to distract people either. Wish he would grow up though, behaving like a spoilt brat
ADK Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 To be fair if he'd given an interview there'd be about 5 threads already saying what an arrogant twat he is. Instead we have a bit of positivity here for a change as the moaners don't have the ammunition.
Jacnah Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 am i missing something here...i could swear that at about 5:50 Pearson was interviewed and spoke????
Foxylady64 Posted 13 December 2014 Author Posted 13 December 2014 If your Mrs Pearson I'm a Chippy....toes please
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Wish he would grow up though, behaving like a spoilt brat How does (for example) doing five interviews instead of six after a match make him a spoilt brat?
harpendenfox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 am i missing something here...i could swear that at about 5:50 Pearson was interviewed and spoke???? That was a piece with Five Live reporter rather than Stringer which is I think the point being made
smudger63 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The unprofessional and amateurish attitude of certain Radio Leicester employees has led to the players and manager spitting their dummy out!
Robin JD Popley Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I think it comes down to the fact they instigated a witch hunt against him. Now, I have been very open that I think we should be a bit more critical regarding Nigel's record in recent weeks as some managers have gone for less (no win in 11, no win in 17 during 2012-13), but there is a way to go about it and unfortunately, the method of tact did not seem to resonate with Mr Stringer the night of the Liverpool match. He only has himself to blame.
Mike Oxlong Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Left me a voicemail asking me to come on the football forum that was at the KP. How did he get your number? Was he draining your battery?
smudger63 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Amazing how Stringer and Bourne weren't so anti-Pearson today. I don`t think they`ve ever been anti-pearson, far from it in fact!. They just ask the questions they would be expected to ask, in the circumstances as they are. Stringers interviewing technique is not the best, i will certainly agree with that, but Pearsons responses when being asked questions he don`t like, is equally poor, in my opinion. There`s actually a very good article in todays mercury, written by Fred Leicester, that sums up the situation perfectly for me.

He only has himself to blame. Hmm i`m not too sure about instigating a witch hunt. I`m assuming you may be referring to the incident with the fan? Let us not forget that a very similar thing happened during our bad run in the championship, where Pearson had a set too with someone in the crowd, and once again when asked about it by stringer, responded with if fans aren`t happy then don`t come. There was not so much made of that because it was in the championship, and to be perfecly blunt, the national media has no interest in that league. This time round it was in the premier league, and make no mistake, the national media were always going to be all over what happened with the fan, regardless as to what Stringer said or asked Pearson, especially once the clip was put on you tube for all to see. If Stringer had failed to ask him about the incident, he wouldn`t have been doing his job, so i`m not sure he was instigating a witch hunt, although as i`ve mentioned before, Stringers interviewing technique is certainly not the best.

That wasn't the root cause of the current problem of not speaking to them though.
Dickov22 Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Bet the Radio Leicester producers are delighted with Stringer.
Larry_LCFC Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 It's childish and pathetic on both sides. I suggest Stringer does some grovelling and Pearson gets off his high horse. The only people that suffer are the fans and its about time they put their differences aside and grew up.

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 The only people that suffer are the fans Really? Plenty of places to hear interviews after a PL game.
Unabomber Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Really? Plenty of places to hear interviews after a PL game. he is joking lad.
separator Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I haven't listened to RL commentary in months, does Stringer still do the pre-match chat with Shakey? I would guess not what with the poor relations between RL and club.
jamesmilner Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 was it cus nugents dad was thrown out trying to have words with him ?
paulsherwood1 Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 To be honest I don't want to hear what Pearson has to say anyway. It's always the same. " team worked hard"..." Good group of players", " we go again next week". I have to say that it's far more petty on the side of Pearson rather than the local radio. It's another example of Pearson's arrogance, much like his spat with the fan.
maxwelld_ Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Stringer asks the right questions which annoys Pearson. He also doesn't shy away from the difficult ones which is why Pearson has boycotted him. Just another example of mardy Pearson. If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen PLEASE!!!!!!!
