RowlattsFox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I'd consider Charlie Adam but I reckon he's on a fair whack at Stoke. Bryan Ruiz from Fulham too. I'd be searching la liga for a tidy, technically sound centre mid who is capable of keeping the ball.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Alex Mowatt Fantastic prospect but we need to be looking for players who are better than what we currently have, and I don't think Mowatt is that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Nige should get on the blower to Pochettino and ask if we can borrow Ben Davies and one of either Stambouli or Capoue for a few months.
dbtcity Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Graham Dorrans, linked with a move to burnley last week for 2.5m.... bargain if you ask me
GingerrrFox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I wish we had Tom Huddlestone. He's got the vision and passing ability we are sorely lacking.

Charlie Adam on the bench yesterday, is a good shout.IMO this type of CM is as much a priority as a LB.
Stadt Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Isn't Cook supposed to be a better prospect than Mowatt?
johnny the fox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I think we should sign ronaldo and messi and put them on the bench to put pressure on vardy and nugent..
lee7 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I wish we had Tom Huddlestone. He's got the vision and passing ability we are sorely lacking. I've always admired Huddlestones passing ability but his downfall is that he's ridiculously slow because of how big he is.
Spanner73 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 It's looking a bit grim the most important position to strengthen above all is a creative midfielder but in all honesty pearson sticks to his transfer policy of not paying the wages needed for quality so now Maloney isn't coming who is going to come To a club that's bittom and is any better than what we have at the moment ? Also we've not been linked with any midfielders

Spanner73 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I wasn't talking about that particular deal I was talking in general , it's common knowledge that he won't pay beyond 25-28 k a week My point is if someone was available and they fitted us perfectly it wouldn't go any further because he'd be too stubborn to pay a higher salary , I'm not saying break the bank but until we end this barrier on wages were as good as down !
ronnup Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Left back, anybody, please. I'd like to strengthen both full back positions, sadly it's hard
Stadt Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 There's a lack of good fullbacks, most right backs and left backs aren't defensively solid
Monsell1976 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Are we even interested in anyone, it's not the busy January I expected after Robinson was blamed for the summer window
Spanner73 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 No urgency whatsoever , I wouldn't at all be surprised if we end up with no midfielder between now and the end of the window , been here before many times with pearson I wonder if we have any scouts apart from Pearson's recruitment man Steve Walsh or is he covering the whole world on his own
lee7 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 I'd be fairly disappointed if we didn't sign another 3 players before this window ends! Be it on loan or as permanent signings. We need atleast a left back, centre back and a creative midfielder.

Spanner73 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 It's true day by day your waiting for something to happen in terms of transfers and it takes An age to get a deal done everyone else gets them done quickly why can't we ? That's if anythings happening at all , it was the same in the summer when every man and his dog was telling him we didn't have enough and time has proved the supporters right all along " well it's a difficult market to work in " well yes Nige that's why you needed to do your business in the summer when you said you would but you failed and now we're in a mess , and to top it all I don't want to break the wage bracket , I think he'd rather be relegated than spend a few more quid on wages !

Spicer Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Francis Coquelin. Loan. Central midfield, similar job to Hammond Serge Gnabry. Loan. Attacking midfield/ winger Håvard Nordtveit. Plays in Germany, Is like Coquelin but is Norwegian and bigger. Heard good things.
