Justing watching the game and can't help but think we are a shadow of the side we used to be. For me the confidence just isn't there, players are not showing for the ball and there seems to be a panic when some players get the ball, and they just try a silly ball.

Maybe its just that the Premier League is a step too high for some individuals.................Jan window is looking like a make or break now.

I agree.

I also think it'll end up 2-0

Unless he changes things - quickly.  THis morning my mate (a fine observer but not a city fan) commented that Nigel was just out of his depth... I agreed; but feel that if we are to get out of this it is Nigel and the player who must find a way.  I have said before - Nigel is struggling - everyone at the club must be able to see it.  Yet as with his choice of players - he has coaching staff that are not going to challenge him - but he disparately needs sensible input - he knows people in the game...  Harry rednap has Hoddle (known for his tactical nouse) - Nigel needs help - tactics, organisation, psychological.... Help!

We aren't just bad, we are embarrassingly bad. Organisation looks poor, attacking threat looks non existent and our defending is amongst the worst I've seen. I cant see January saving us. We have much deeper issues than a couple of new players can solve. The buck has to lie with Pearson I'm afraid for consistently picking the likes of Konchesky.

Yep, it'll take a miracle for us to win another game this season.

Nigel is testing me - Ulloa has been at the root of all our goals lately - and so Nigel starts him on the bench.  Vardy would be a great impact sub at 70 mins - so Nigel starts him.  Andy King is loved by all of us - but he is not forceful enough for the PL - while Nigel leaves James on the bench.  "It's you own career" said Jonathan Ross to a drunken Michael Barrymore on live TV.

James has been woeful, King was damn good last week in his first start for a long time

We don't exactly know Ulloa's fitness levels, also I'm not sure how much joy Ulloa would get against two exceptional CBs in the air, although I'd start him as he's our only chance of holding ball up in attempt to bring midfielders into attacking play... Vardy is going to get sent off soon too, as well as being completely ineffective

How the fvck is Ulloa on the bench?

Does Pearson expect Vardy to get on the end of crosses, does he expect him to win headers against Tomkins and Reid? If so then he is seriously deluded.

Plus we can't pass a ball properly, and our defence is shit.

Quite frankly we are an embarrassment to the Premier League.

And given all the links it seems likely he tried to get a replacement and wasn't able to - again going back to player acquisition, which was... Robinsons job.

West Ham have been the better side, but we've played OK in patches. It's only 1-0 no I'm not joining the doom merchants. And I don't go along with the philosophy that we should just give up on the season. It's bad now but it's not over yet, May is a long way off. We may not have the best squad but January is coming and our results will look a lot better if we stop gifting soft goals, which we've been very good at.

Correct - look at the last 5 games (including today) - pretty much each one can be put down to an individual mistake; Konchesky today, Simpson last week, Wasyl/Schlupp and Moore vs Villa, Morgan, Morgan and Schmeichel vs Liverpool, Schmeichel and De Laet vs QPR

It's not as if the goals have been unpreventable, it's been ignoring runs from set-pieces/crosses, it's been a lack of spacial awareness - we're not being outclassed, we're shooting ourselves in the foot. Which makes it all the worse for us.

Assuming we go on to lose this game in glorious fashion we've got 21 left and realistically probably need to win 8 of them plus a few draws to survive.  8 wins in 21!

Taking into account we will "probably" come away with nil points from our remaining games with Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal, means we have to find 8 wins in 17.  We are so down  :xmassad:

I wonder if Pearson will still think Konchesky is good enough. He has always been a liability this season and something like this was bound to happen...

Interesting that he was not good enough last year but the super supreme tactical manger we gave decides he will be fine at this level?
