Sir Fynwy Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Yes I went there, wanna fight about it? Not really but I'd never use oxo
Guest Bilo Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey Crown Gravy Roast potatoes Boiled potatoes Pigs in blankets Peas Green Beans Parsnips Brussels Cranberry Sauce Can't wait.
kasper wasper Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 You need to have Yorkshire puddings on Christmas dinner. They are delightful so why make it worse by leaving them out.
Footballwipe Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey Beef Gammon Parsnips Brussles Stuffing ring with Sausage Meat Stuffing balls Gravy Carrots Runner beans Yoskshires Roast Potatoes Pudding Viennetta Trifle (minus the sponge layer) Absolute no no is Cranberry Sauce, I think people who sweeten up their meat are debauched.
AoWW Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Cranberry sauce and bread sauce are essentials. Sprouts are the spawn of Satan.
stix Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey Gammon Roasties Mash Yorkies Stuffing Sausage meat Pigs in blankets Cabbage with bacon Cauliflower & Broccoli Peas Gravy Christmas Pud Toffee Apple Crumble Birthday Cake (step daughters birthday on 25th) Gaelic Coffees & lots of Jack Daniels.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Yorkie puds are the 2nd best thing behind the pigs
Webbo Posted 22 December 2014 Author Posted 22 December 2014 Yorkshires should only be used with beef.
Ross-Kemp Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey Crown Beef Duck Homemade Roasties Mash Yorkshire pudding Pugs in blankets Stuffing Carrots Broccoli Parsnips Peas Cauliflower Cheese Leek Gravy Then at night, cheese board with crackers, cold turkey & beef cobs, pickled onions & dips.

Good shout but I'm not sure he'll go with Gravy up front on his own. Nugent dropping off?
Stadt Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Pigs in blankets are definitely the best thing about winter
separator Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 The only sauce that should be allowed anyway near a roast dinner is mint sauce on lamb, oh and gravy obviously. cranberry/bread sauce can do one.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Parsnips - take it or leave it? A parsnip cooked right can be the best bit on the plate! I'm hoping for: Chicken (always better than turkey) Roast potatoes Honey-glazed parsnips Pigs in blankets Carrots Brussels Sweetcorn Stuffing Sweet red cabbage Cranberry sauce Gravy Not fussed: Peas (if they aren't mushy they aren't a foodstuff, and what sort of cockmaster has mushy peas at Christmas) Cauliflower (isn't traditional) Broccoli (waste of space) As much as I love mash and Yorkshires, they aren't special enough for Christmas dinner. Same reason I don't stick toast or baked beans on my plate too. Pudding: (usually too full up to care by this point) Mince pies with white sauce Stollen A good Christmas pudding
Hollism Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Mash and yorkies: they're fantastic but not on a Christmas dinner. Ready made fresh soup (carrot and coriander this year) I'd love to do prawn cocktail or make my own soup, but I go mad adding spices and bits and bobs to the veg so can't afford the time. Whole turkey Roasties Pigs in blankets Sprouts Parsnips Carrots Braised red cabbage Stuffing Pigs in blankets again Gravy Cranberry sauce (The one with whole cranberries in too- none of that smooth shit) Christmas pudding Brandy Sauce Quality street Every fruity cheese that can be found in Asda and Waitrose Biscuits
The Doctor Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey Haggis stuffing Roast potatoes Roast carrots Peas Carrots Mashed potatoes Pigs in blankets Yorkshires Gravy. Brussels are an abomination, but can be alright fried in chorizo.
Guest MattP Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Turkey crown Pigs in blankets Yorkshires Homemade stuffing Mash Roasties cooked in goose fat Champagne Veg for the ladies.
cambridgefox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I'm going to a steak restaurant in Hamburg, seems a bit not legit but will still be fun I hope. In terms of traditional Christmas dinner mine is: Turkey Homemade stuffing Roast potatoes Mashed potatoes Braised red cabbage Parsnips Peas Pigs in blankets Cranberry sauce Gravy Brussels Carrots Chateauneuf du pape Christmas pudding Homemade bourbon ice cream Cheese and biscuits Random chocolates Save your stuffing for the Reeperbahn !Usually Turkey crown or cockeral crown, but are heading for dinner at friends who like beef.We said we would supply the beef,I've gone for rolled rib from the local butchers.lovely joint .
Carl the Llama Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 also cauliflower is not traditional This. Also Broccoli. Wtf guys. The OP's stance on bread & cranberry sauce is very unacceptable too. Things to add: Brandy sauce for the Xmas Pud. Devils on Horseback (I never eat the gross fvckers but it's not Christmas without them at the table to turn your nose up at). Horseradish Sauce Petits Fours Cloved Gammon (in addition to the Turkey/Capon). Nut Roast for the shameful vegetarians.

I think if we play this line up against Spurs on Friday they'll have there plates full!!!
Asha Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Fvcking Cranberry Sauce, I've never managed to get my head round why anyone considers it a worthy addition to the Christmas Day line-up.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 My old dear always used to to some massive fry up for us all in the morning too, God I used to love that when I was at home, coming down, hanging out of my arsehole to a giant chunk of french stick with bacon, egg, saussage and beans inside. Best breakfast ever.
AoWW Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Was talking to a friend earlier who proclaimed smugly that she's detoxing over Christmas (wtf?!) and will only be drinking freshly juiced fruit and veg on Christmas Day. Silly bint.
Soar Fox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 My mum makes us all sausage and bacon cobs on Christmas morning with a glass of Buck's Fizz. I don't go out on Christmas Eve anymore as I'm always hanging the next day and it ruined Christmas day for me the other year.
BlueJoe Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Coco Pops and Baileys for Chrimbo breakfast... Starting as you mean to go on!!!
