Guest seanfox778 Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Why would I want an above average burger in a city where you can get a ****ing amazing burger in almost every borough? Haha, I see your point now. I live in Cornwall, above average is the best we can hope for.
Gianni07 Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Went solita in manchester, quality Best burger I've ever had came from there. Not the cheapest but I'm going in a few days and I can't wait.
Rincewind Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Just booked to go away in August and this is a photo of a meaty challenge in a pub close by
Babylon Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 That's not a burger It's also not very meaty... more bloody peas and chips than meat.
Soar Fox Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Grillstock in Leicester... Anyone been? Where abouts is that? That looks good.
Tincy Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Just booked to go away in August and this is a photo of a meaty challenge in a pub close by I've had bigger mixed grills at the cedars than that!
Turtles Head Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Best burger I've ever had came from there. Not the cheapest but I'm going in a few days and I can't wait. Had the once in a lifetime, then didn't eat for 24 hours. Check out moose coffee for brunch.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 I've had bigger mixed grills at the cedars than that! The Mighty Man? That's how a mixed grill is done! Fantastic, and it's 90% meat. That meat "challenge" looks like nasty chips, pile of peas and onion rings (ie. Filler) and 3 small steaks. Back to burgers, naturally I've cancelled the barbeque tonight and am heading down the Blackbird. Mixed grill or burger... Hmm. A colleague is well excited about Grillstock opening - he's eaten at another one and said it's quality and great portions.

I'm back in the City of dreams end of July and would love a birra Grillstock. Regards burgers, brioche buns are the worst thing to ever happen to burgers.
Rincewind Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 I've had bigger mixed grills at the cedars than that! i must admit i have seen bigger but never attempted them.

Regards burgers, brioche buns are the worst thing to ever happen to burgers. According to the website it's open now at St Martin's Square, think it's where Pizza Express used to be. I must disagree with the brioche statement, mixing meats with sweets is a winner
Gianni07 Posted 12 June 2015 Posted 12 June 2015 Had the once in a lifetime, then didn't eat for 24 hours. Check out moose coffee for brunch.Tried that on my first visit. Had the big manc with the extra patty like in this picture the second time, despite the pain it put my stomach through it was worth every bite!
z-layrex Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Anyone tried Dip N Flip in Clapham? It's burgers served with gravy. I've been three times now, first two it was pretty good, the third time they served us putrid burgers with cold gravy. Never been back.

lavrentis Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 I went to the camden lock the first time, still need to try the new one near my flat in clapham. Oooh Apparently the one near Kings Cross is the best
The Doctor Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 Went to the Smokehouse in the O-Bar on Tuesday - their smokestack burger is very good (according to the missus, had pulled pork myself) although they really need to shred the cabbage rather than putting it in as big chunks.
SystonFox Posted 13 June 2015 Posted 13 June 2015 O bar as in brauny gate? Interesting? Like the look of the grillstock menu or whatever it's called but £5 for a bottle of beer? U wot m8!
