Burgers

Had a cheeseburger in the Rutland & Derby earlier. Decent but probably not worth ten quid. Presented in a dish with chips which made it hard to cut up (I'm a melt who likes to use a knife and fork in public).

I don't use a k & f but I agree, the thing they serve the burgers in is a joke. It would make a suitable bath for a hamster though.

Aldi are doing wagyu burgers for £2.99 if anyone's interested. Obviously gonna be from a mixed race cow but apparently they're still pretty good.

Saw this online the other day, deffo going to buy some if I can. It's nuts how much certain places sell them for.

It's just occurred to me I've never seen a hamster bathe. Can they swim?

Oh they swim boy.

I am ridiculously passionate about burgers having become one of them ponces in London who has tried nearly every gaff going. MEATliquor, Dip & Flip, Bleecker St Burger, Honest Burgers, Patty & Bun. If you're ever in London go to them all, in the same day like a real man.

I still have plans to open my own street food place this year, possibly next year. I've moved back to Leics so it's just finding somewhere where it'd take off.

I live out in America now, and I can quite honestly say the UK shits on the USA on every level when it comes to Burgers now. I've not had a single decent one since Ive been out here.

I miss UK burgers. There's a pub in Oxford that does the best burgers I've ever had.

Is that a hedgehog at the bottom lol lol

lol Honestly it looks a bit too sinewy for me.

Eating out in poor countries is brilliant. On the slopes at Pamporovo I had a fantastic fresh-made char-grilled cheese burger with grilled bun, big portion of proper steak-cut chips topped with a mound of feta and a pint of the local lager Kamenitza - 13 lev… £5.20. And that's on the ski slopes where prices are a premium. A decent pizza covered in whatever you want elsewhere is about 9 lev, or £3.60

Sounded great up til the word 'Kamenitza'.

I like it! The choice of draughts up in the mountains is forgivably small but Kamenitza is nice and light. I had 4 in the space of 40 minutes at a lunchtime last year, put my skis on and immediately fell sideways like that time Delboy fell sideways. Think he'd just had 4 pints in quick succession

Had a great burger from the butchers last night. Kept it simple with peri peri sauce, lettuce, cherry tomatoe, mature cheddar and bacon. Really did hit the spot, great piece of meat.

You can't get more simple than 5 extra ingredients!

Had a couple of absurd burgers in Leeds this weekend, Belgrave and Veritas both sorted me out a ****ing treat. First one (Belgrave) was so gloriously filthy I don't know where to start and was made by these chaps - https://twitter.com/PattySmithsUK if you're ever there get yourself to the gaff
