How in the World did some of that lot get Work Permits and Sjulemani and Zapata didn't? You get the feeling the people doing this might not have a clue.

We should be ok you'd think but knowing the way things have gone for us this season a rejection here would be the icing on the cake.

In the unlikely scenario that he gets rejected, would there be anything to stop us from loaning him from Rijeka for 6 months, with a pre-agreed transfer fee for the summer when Croats are able to come here without a permit?

Or do loans require a permit as well?

Er... he'll still be working in the UK.

I think some people think UKBA works a bit like Champ Man.

So looking at those external factors we have a letter of recommendation from Kovac, played and scored at every level for Croatia, scored 9 European goals with 26 appearances, scored 28 goals this season..... do we even need to bother with the tribunal?

They turned down Suljemani when he had just been young player of the season in Holland and Ajax had paid 13.5million for him.

Then let in uncapped Tim Ream. You can't make it up.

Fingers crossed but either way wouldn't surprise me reading that article.

Always liked Dorsett but this 50/50 stuff is a load of bollocks. SSN just want to make a story out of anything they can. If Angelo Henriquez can get a work permit then Andrej Kramaric will.

He is on loan at dinamo Zagreb facepalm2.gif

Of course this is all bullshit. Media always favours Chelseas of the worls. Us, the smaller clubs, are always on the recieving end. This is practically the same as all the rubish about Kramaric in the CRO-media.

Well. just enjoy being in the spotlight. Tomorrow it's going to be Terry doing someones girlfriend or Arsene signing a toddler.

I have a horrible feeling he isnt going to get a WP. The initial application will be (has been) rejected instantly due to his lack of caps. Also worth remembering the FA are banging the "we need less foreigners" in the EPL drum, so they'll be right stubborn ****ers.  Also read that Okazaki deal is agreed in principle if Kramaric fails to get WP, not "as well as"

So that tells me the club aren't overly confident.

no, i think the whole deal would have to be cancelled as he would still technically be a UK employee

Didn't read that last bit as Terry doing someone's girlfriend up the arse.

Or it just tells you our club isn't ran by morons who put all their eggs in one basket.

That list is reassuring. Big fee, great scoring record, now a part of national set up, recently won player of the year award in Croatia.

Didn't realise that! Is he actually any good?

Now I'm really bloody confused. We've established that Croatians don't need traditional work permits, they need a 'certificate' that comes from a job offer and sponsorship from your employer. It is also quoted on the official government website.

Now the official site, our coaching team and Sky News are talking about WP's and 'panels'. What the fvck? Does football have some special procedure or are people just making shit up?

Yeah, I realised that'd probably be the case pretty much as I posted it.

Ah well, wishful thinking perhaps xD

He's their best striker. Not United material but knows how to put the ball in the back of the net.

Normally sports persons do have separate criteria so maybe that is why. Would be ridiculously unfair if it was refused considering Croatia is actually part of the EU

As the great William Goldman said... "nobody knows anything".

Looking at the list of players allowed in, I would have thought any rejection could be challenged in a court of law. they can't change the rules because of Greg dyke. Whilst nothing in this world would surprise me, we would get our man in the end but we dont have time for that. (Special appeal/ threat of legal action etc etc). His permit would be through just in time for Chelsea to take him on account of our relegation!!

Just looked into the purple certificate thing and you were right if you are sponsored by an approved company you are in - looking through the list on the home office website lcfc are on there so **** knows what the problem is. Only thing could be if footballers are exempt
