roblcfc84 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 It just wouldn't have for this far if it wasn't gauranteed - the club are putting 10 million down at the risk of missing other targets on a possibility. Loads of Croatians have played in the PL, its just a process that has to happen.
Katy Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If it's anything like waiting for a DRB check to come back then he should be cleared to play for us at the start of next season.
maxwelld_ Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Pretty sure Croatia is in the EU so he will be fine...... You are rasist. As I said above you sir are a muppet
justfoxes Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 That article makes me worried and angry at the same time. Is there any way us fans can help Andrej get the work permit the club deserves? And I say the work permit the club deserves because it is very true that I fear Nigel Pearson being discriminated against because he is not a household name like Jose Mourinho, and I also fear of Leicester as a club being discriminated against because we are at the foot of the table and/or because we are one of the many clubs considered to be out of favour with the press because of how uninterested in media attention our manager is in comparison to the attention seekers (Harry Redknapp, I'm looking at you), or because we aren't Man Utd and Co. Anyone who cannot see they are favoured by everything from referees to situations like this are blind. Can't we get a few glowing reports from the lovely Rijeka fans we have had on here recently and send them to the relevant personnel to assure them he is the real deal? Maybe do a petition? Or are we powerless? Makes you wonder really that this shows up the favouritism for the top clubs in the premier league who have more non eu players in their club than anyone! But I'm sure we will get a work permit for him it might be a bit of a long haul but I think the Thais Will have the best working lawyers on this case too but the fact the journalist puts in if it was maurhinio rather than PEARSON then he would have been looked more favourable in the case is true of the favouritism ! But that's the joy of being a Leicester fan is all about the trials and tribulations and all that ! We should get one of those KEEP CALM Badges made !! KEEP CALM KRAMARIC WILL GET HIS PERMIT !!

Guest Col city fan Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 If it's anything like waiting for a DRB check to come back then he should be cleared to play for us at the start of next season. Ain't THAT the truth..
Alexikokopops Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Now I'm really bloody confused. We've established that Croatians don't need traditional work permits, they need a 'certificate' that comes from a job offer and sponsorship from your employer. It is also quoted on the official government website. Now the official site, our coaching team and Sky News are talking about WP's and 'panels'. What the fvck? Does football have some special procedure or are people just making shit up? Just looked into the purple certificate thing and you were right if you are sponsored by an approved company you are in - looking through the list on the home office website lcfc are on there so **** knows what the problem is. Only thing could be if footballers are exempt I read something somewhere (God knows where) that the purple certificate thing was Tier 1 and footballers come under Tier 2? I've no idea what that means mind. This is a government issue. None of the footballing bodies are making this decision so there won't be any bias. I thought that, but the appeal needs to establish if Kramaric is a "high quality" player and a panel of FA people/ex-managers do that for the UKBA. Not that I'm expecting bias like some people.
Guest ttfn Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 A few observations/question: 1) any idea when the panel is meeting? 2) Does anybody else think that Rob Dorsett's piece might be a case of journalists creating the news, with a bit of a nudge from Stamford Bridge? Frankly Chelsea look a but ridiculous in all of this and if the press start putting out comments like "it's only 50:50", who knows - could it influence the panel's thinking? "Well Chelsea weren't sure they'd get a permit for him - maybe they had a point - what are we missing?" I'm probably reading too much into it. 3) what sort of system is it when we clearly value a potential employee's registration (i.e. his exclusive employment) at almost £10 million and there's doubt about whether he can work here? Surely that alone is overwhelming evidence of our conviction that he is "of the highest calibre". But as MattP says it looks like they make it up as they go along judging by that list; some of the names that got in are jaw-dropping.
indierich06 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 This deal has really highlighted to me how much I miss the days before the internet, when the first you heard about a signing was when he was holding up a shirt on the back of The Mercury. Don't get me wrong, I love the internet and social media - I make my living out of social media - but it makes the transfer window ****ing unbearable. We just have to listen to an endless stream of lies and bullshit because we're desperate for even the tiniest bit of information from these twat '@agentITK' Twitter accounts, run by basement dwelling losers, desperate for attention. Also, I don't give a lusty **** about the world of work permits and relegation clauses. Why the **** is it any of our business what the minutiae of a player's contract is? Its pointless bullshit. Ignorance truly was bliss.

FrankieADZ Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 2) Does anybody else think that Rob Dorsett's piece might be a case of journalists creating the news, with a bit of a nudge from Stamford Bridge? yeah he is, he's clearly not looked at the bigger picture of other "Less" talented players who've came into premiership teams under the same sort of circumstances. also think that story is a matter of cover his arse in case he's wrong. pretty sure Brek Shea at Stoke had the same issue.....he was granted a work permit. I'd be mighty surprised if Ktamaric didnt get a work permit....are hes a exceptional talent....even UEFA think it. debut next Saturday i expect
Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I think Rob Dorsett is probably right with the 50/50 thing. You look at the list of players who were accepted and rejected and it's a flip of a coin. Disturbing. Knowing our luck we're done for.
Babylon Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 2) Does anybody else think that Rob Dorsett's piece might be a case of journalists creating the news, with a bit of a nudge from Stamford Bridge? Definitely, the information we've been getting from the Croatians on here has all pretty much been spot on. They were insistent were they not that it was down to him not wanting to be loaned out.
jimmeh Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Can I just say that this is all ludicrous. He has already signed a contract. He is our player. There is absolutely no way we would announce it and have him training with us and spend thousands on agents fees if we even thought there was a chance it would be rejected.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 It seems that this deal can't go without multiple shocks for you guys. I am sorry you all have to go to so much pain and worries but I am 100% sure that HE WILL GET HIS WP www.hocuri.com I am sure you are right, cheers buddy

Pearson will just go in with Wasyl at his side and a link to this. We'll be fine.
Finnaldo Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Can people not get their heads round the idea that SSN are going to make it sound like a disaster so people watch the channel more to get the latest? They're not going to turn around and say "Yeah it'll be appealed and he'll be a Leixester player in a week's time" because it doesn't give an incentive to keep track of the story.
glenelgfox Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Excuse my aussie ignorance but can someone tell why we didn't go through this with the likes of Was, Knocky and Mahrez or does this only apply to PL moves?
SMX11 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Excuse my aussie ignorance but can someone tell why we didn't go through this with the likes of Was, Knocky and Mahrez or does this only apply to PL moves? Because people from France and Poland have the right the live settle and work in this country no questions asked.
Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Excuse my aussie ignorance but can someone tell why we didn't go through this with the likes of Was, Knocky and Mahrez or does this only apply to PL moves? Poland and France don't have the working restrictions that Croatia do when coming to the UK.

Exactly were just being made to wait jump through the appropriate hoops lie down and let us sweat on his work permit !! Of course SSN are going to make it sound awful and disaster out for him SSN WOULD MAKE DISATEROUS HEADLINES IF THE PRICE OF PUKKA PIES WENT UP AT FOOTBALL GROUNDS !! But because if you read through the permit recommendations and what has been written about him in the press both here and Croatia and the fact that we are willing to pay a hefty price £10m plus for this lads service of course he fits the government list and to think about it I'm sure the clubs have to pay a decent price to get the work permit so typical government really will probably reject the first application then a few days later accept the appeal after a few more £k in fees are paid ! But I think he'll be in a city shirt for the Stoke game pity not in time for the villa but hey we can beat them !!

talking_goldfish Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 I've just been reviewing the list of all players successfully appealing under "highest calibre" and below is a list showing all players bought in 2013 / 2014:Lacina Traore (Ivory Coast) to Everton in January 20145/21 (24%) senior internationals in past 2 years9 goals in 28 apps in Euro club competitionsWillian (Brazil) to Chelsea in August 20130/5 (0%) senior internationals in past 2 years56 apps in Euro club competitions and the transfer fee was £32mBrek Shea (USA) to Stoke in January 20132/12 (17%) senior internationals in past 2 yearsPhillipe Coutinho (Brazil) to Liverpool in January 20130/4 (0%) senior internationals in past 2 years18 apps in Euro club competitions and scored 3 goals in 2011 U20 World CupDerek Boateng (Ghana) to Fulham in May 201313/20 (65%) senior internationals in past 2 years10 apps in Euro club competitions. Scored 35 goals and 20 assists in 65 matches with FC TwenteRoger Espinoza (Honduras/USA) to Wigan in January 20134/15 (27%) senior internationals in past 2 yearsScored against Brazil during the 2012 Olympics with Honduran U23 teamWilfried Bony (Ivory Coast) to Swansea in July 201312/19 (63%) senior internationals in past 2 years24 apps in Euro club competitions. Dutch Footballer of the Year in 12/13. Club-record £12m transfer fee.Yun Suk-Young (South Korea) to QPR in January 20131/16 (6%) senior internationals in past 2 yearsStarted all 6 matches for the U23 team that won the bronze medal in 2012 OlympicsLooking at some of those (Brek Shea / Roger Espinoza / Yun Suk-Young particularly) there is no way Kramaric could be denied a Work Permit. A lot of these players have even less than 4 caps and some of them are at U23 level at the Olympics, which does not count as a competitive A team international match, it also suggests that the fact he will be a record transfer fee for us could also go in our favour. I just wish we could fast forward to next week, I can't take the waiting!
stevebrock Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 can't believe people are worrying about nothing - it will be fine - debut against Stoke
