Probably Claridge he didn't score many but scored two of the most important goals in our history.

This. Promotion to the Prem, and a trophy which also meant Europe. Signing was another example of the nouse of the great O'Neil

im not going to list the best players, but I think lloyd dyer has to be one of the most important. we had just been relegated to league one, and were going nowhere and him and a few other players produced spectacular performances that season. He has been a major part of our revival in recent years and a good servant to the club. Is a legend here for sure

lol the pearsonites all saying nigel.

"Pearsonites", really. Don't you mean "Leicester City fans"?

And why not, he's turned us around on and off the pitch (twice). Smashed League One at the first attempt (did Forest do that, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton, Leeds etc? No), guided us to two play off campaigns (the first being straight after promotion from League One) before smashing the second division and guiding us back to the Premier League after a ten year absence. Even if you don't agree or even like Pearson (hero) then you must actually appreciate the work he has done. We have a lot of young posters on here too, don't forget, so seeing us actually dominating after all these years is nice.

In terms of recent years, Izzet, Claridge, Lennon etc would all be up there for me.

Sorry but I dont see how a player who has only been at his best (which isn't that good) for half a season every year can be called a legend.

If he's a legend then so are dozens of other former players.

IMo of course

Tony James just for the 1 header vs Oxford stopping us going into the old 3rd division. You never know we could have festered down there for years, dropped into D4 and then the Conference. Tony James is the reason we have a sucessfull club today........

God I do spout some cr@p from time to time  :)

In the years since I've been following Leicester (since ~1986), I'd have to say Muzzy Izzet. His arrival on loan kick-started us from mid-table to winning the play-offs and then we signed him on a permanent deal in the Summer. We then enjoyed three successive top 10 finishes in the Premier League, won the League Cup twice and played in the EUFA cup twice. When O'Neill left and we were relegated under Peter Taylor many of our players jumped ship (i.e. the rest of the centre midfield) - but not Muzzy. He stayed and was a class above all other players in the Championship in our promotion season at the first attempt under Mickey Adams. This was also a turbulent time for the club as we were placed in administration.

Thanks for the memories Muzzy - you are a true legend in my eyes.
