marko Posted 27 November 2015 Share Posted 27 November 2015 Brilliant Fantastic with a paddy in charge ! Boom Boom should have won it Northants will hope to get him back next year I guess this would be a bad time to tell you that Jos Buttler was captain. He was born in Somerset, by the way. GaelicFox Posted 27 November 2015 Share Posted 27 November 2015 I guess this would be a bad time to tell you that Jos Buttler was captain. He was born in Somerset, by the way. marko Posted 28 November 2015 Share Posted 28 November 2015 Anyone else keeping up with events Down Under? Nathan Lyon knocked the cover off the ball but didn't walk, Kiwis referred to DRS and bizarrely Llong gave it not out despite a huge hot spot mark. Although apparently the hangman was waiting in the dressing room to measure the rope for Lyon's act of "blatant cheating". In all seriousness, it was a howler by Llong. Edit: Kiwis had them 117-8 at that point, but they added a further 106 runs. Could turn out to be a series deciding decision.

Guest MattP Posted 1 December 2015 Share Posted 1 December 2015 We look really good in the reduced formats now don't we? Amazing what a change of management can do, compare the current attitude to the absolute shambles of the World Cup and it's incredible.
Swarles Barkley Posted 6 December 2015 Share Posted 6 December 2015 South africa 72 runs from 72 overs. Fair play for sticking it out. Must've been proper shit for people watching it though

leicsmac Posted 26 December 2015 Share Posted 26 December 2015 Can't criticise Cook for that, Steyn set him up and then knocked him down, would have got any batsman out. It's going to brighten up later so if we can hold on for the first hour or two there's still good scores to be made here.
ealingfox Posted 26 December 2015 Share Posted 26 December 2015 Kind of hitting home during this rain delay just how superior South Africa are to us. Think we'll end up getting a bit of a bumming in this series.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 26 December 2015 Share Posted 26 December 2015 Can't bat like that at this level, Alex.

Think we'll end up getting a bit of a bumming in this series. Thing is...I'm not sure that they are. As long as Steyn is there their bowling is superior (especially without Anderson) but their batting has really failed to fire this year, and they got their pants pulled down big time in India. There's some question marks over Amla's captaincy, too.
