ozleicester Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Kramaric hasn't put a foot wrong yet... But.. no goals yet!... Kramaric OUT!
mugshot Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Hamer, Wasilewski, Ulloa, Mahrez and Hammond have all stood out for me. This!
MikeyT Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Wasilewski and Mahrez without question. Schlupp has been very good as well.
canadaukfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Just found this Pearson quote re Wasyl from The Mercury in April: “The players absolutely adore him. Centre-backs who enjoy defending are a dying breed. “You will know what he has been through in terms of the injury he had. It was a horrific fracture. “He is bonkers, I know that. If he is late for a team meeting, I change the meeting time, even me being the size I am."

Guest ttfn Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Palace - Came off the bench. Burnley - Played well and scored. Newcastle - Didnt play. Swansea - ****ing woeful. WBA - Dropped to bench. Southampton - Didn't play. Sunderland - Atrocious. QPR - Subbed, awful. Liverpool - Did he touch the ball? Villa - Made the goal with a deflected shot, the first sign of positive play from him in weeks. Mahrez - Unfair to criticise, everyone had a bad game and we played a good side. West Ham - Jesus christ... Spurs - Dead unlucky not to score a wonder goal. Never played lads... Perhaps comprehension is not your strong point.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 It's hard to pick one that's really shined. Mahrez maybe, or Hammond. Probably Wasa though.
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Wes Morgan for me. Proved a lot of people wrong including me that he wasn't up to this level.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Was, Hammond (huge surprise but he's been solid), Hamer (another pleasant surprise). I want to say Ulloa as he has scored a fair few but he has underperformed in a few matches - the others I mentioned have stepped up every time they've featured, pretty much. Mahrez has also been impressive most of the time
NewquayFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Wasyl...... Brute at the back, does the simple thing like getting the ball as far away from our goal as possible with no frills..... Hamer is fast becoming a fave too....
Stadt Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Hammond It's amazing how he's gone from being shit to one of our star players
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 how the **** can anyone say mahrez hasn't been consistent enough or has only turned good recently so for that reason they'd nominate schlupp?! some people must be trolling in here
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Palace - Came off the bench. Burnley - Played well and scored. Newcastle - Didnt play. Swansea - ****ing woeful. WBA - Dropped to bench. West Ham - Jesus christ... Spurs - Dead unlucky not to score a wonder goal. Never played lads... Purely on the basis that you've subconsciously renamed Man City as Mahrez, I think you secretly know the truth here. Mahrez is our only player who could play for a top team and he's clearly been our best attacking player so far this season.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 how the **** can anyone say mahrez hasn't been consistent enough or has only turned good recently so for that reason they'd nominate schlupp?! some people must be trolling in here Well I had been on the beers so might not have made my point crystal: Mahrez is brilliant, and we can mostly see he's a level above anything we've had since Izzett as a creative force. However, he is young and his decision making is still a bit suspect-there has been a fairly lengthy spell where he's tried to do too much, either taking on one man too many or shooting when better options were around. So given how good he should be, I think we're only just seeing what I would consider to be a 'standard' performance for him. Schlupp on the other hand was not expected to be up to the job. Left winger was key on most people's shopping list over the summer, Dyer's exit bemoaned. But he's been keeping Albrighton and Tony out, been safe in possession and is beginning to look a real threat. So while our best player is Mahrez, Schlupp is the one whose performances have been most surprising.
Ian S Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Mahrez? Are you lot joking? Yes he's hit top form now but he was probably our worst player during our bad run. Probably Wasyl for me, 7/10 or more every week. So dependable. Other than that i'd probably have to say Ulloa for his goals. But it's been a bit of a team effort, as it always is under Nige. Totally agree on Mahrez, recently much better but he has been average to awful too often, in fact had a period where he looked disinterested and not up for the fight. However I know many are going to disagree.

Ian S Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 They vote for him through favouritism even though he may have been average. Getting voted MOTM against Sunderland especially was a massive joke. When he's good he's good, but like AKCJ has said he has also had quite a few mediocre performances. Let's be frank, the voting on this site does leave a bit to be desired, I am sure many register the votes based on a few minutes highlights on MOTD which will focus on the flair moments, he was crap at Swansea alongside the rest , Can't remember him being great against Sunderland and at West Ham I think only Konchesky had a worse day.Thought he was very good against Spurs but it has been too infrequent. His potential is mentioned in an earlier post which is without question, but we are debating our best player so far this season.
LCCFox96 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Ulloa or Mahrez. Mahrez probably just clinches it. I also think Wasilewski has done a fine job since coming into the side. The most consistent member of our back line by far. Hamer - bar some dodgy free kick positioning against Spurs -has also been impressive imo.

Ian S Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 It's been Mahrez by some distance. Unbelievable.!
