Who has been our star player so far this season?

Let me point out that I said "one of our worst players". Given that we didn't win in 12 games, there weren't many candidates for the 'star' player.

This forum spaffs it's knickers whenever he flicks his hair. It's a biased view. Easy to say "he was the one that looked like doing something" but it's no good when you don't actually do anything lol

I'd be amazed to learn if he made a successful pass in the Swansea game. Yes he got on the ball a lot, but he gave it away on every occasion.

He didn't 'make' the Liverpool goal. Leo's persistence did.

We scored 8 goals in 12 games and we think our 'creative player' was the star performer? Come on lads, it's not rocket science.

May have been poor in the Swansea game but HE WAS VOTED MOTM BY THIS FORUM

And Leo has a tough time scoring that if Mahrez doesn't slide it through to him

And you said he was one of our worst players on that run, well he was VOTED MOTM BY THIS FORUM the most times in that run without playing, the evidence is suggesting you're wrong.

i think kingfox has hacked his account.

is that right, akcj? i can't think of a reasonable explanation for you to have suddenly turned into a full on retard.

Ouch.

Look, i'm only saying that our so-called creative spark was poor during our bad run. He scored one and assisted (off the top of my head) two.

I know he's exciting to watch, and he was in our bad run. But he didn't deliver and at the end of the day, that's what you have to do at this level.

I think players like Ulloa, Wasyl and Cambiasso were our best three performers in our bad run. The rest of the team might well not have bothered.

But you see that's where you're wrong - he did deliver. Attacking players have a bargain with each other, creative ones create chances for the goalscorers to put away. If the creative player gives the goalscorer 10 chances, and the goalscorer doesn't finish any of them, the creative player has delivered on his side of the bargain, the goalscorer hasn't though...

They vote for him through favouritism even though he may have been average.

Getting voted MOTM against Sunderland especially was a massive joke.

When he's good he's good, but like AKCJ has said he has also had quite a few mediocre performances.

This is like pulling teeth... How dare I even think about disrespecting him?!

Leo has one of the best shots to goals ratios in the league. We didn't give him enough chances in our bad run and that's all there really is to it.

KingFox, please don't agree with me. You're ruining my argument.

They have been through all of this with myself, you won't get anywhere because they are that deluded.

when the only person you can find on the forum to agree with you is kingfox a seven day ban (minimum) is in order imho

Some people like to dislike or not rate our best players because for some reason they think it makes them superior/more knowledgable/a better more dedicated fan/insightful. It's always the same and it's zzzZZZZZZZ. People deliberately swimming against the tide just because they don't want to be a 'sheep' even though the sheep is where it's at. Happens in all walks of life.

Because he played withdrawn with Vardy up top - who missed how many 1v1's?

Hamer, Wasilewski, Ulloa, Mahrez and Hammond have all stood out for me.

If Mahrez had more of an end product he would not be playing for us. If anyone cannot see how good he is, and the potential he has then you shouldn't be commenting on football.

Mahrez is our most dangerous attacking outlet, but he's been best in the last handful of games when he's not trying to do too much. Now he makes enough chances per game that we can afford to miss one or two-in our slump he was as guilty as anyone of running into blind alleys. If it had been Knockaert doing the same he'd have been pissed on for not passing early enough. He's our best player, but he's only been playing well for him in the last 6/7.

Schlupp is the most pleasing performer this season for me-he's done a Dyer over the last few games-more reliable on the ball and starting to make the opposition worry. He's flawed, but improving and starting to make a real difference. Also our second top scorer (not hard, but still...) Hope the ACON doesn't ruin his season...

Ulloa for me. Scores goals and is a great technical player; gritty, strong and plays a massive part defensively.
