cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Behave. He cannot pass forward, he makes stupid mistakes constantly, his free kicks are an abomination, his crosses are even worse.. Which cross will he do this time? the lofted ball into the centre? the lofted ball into the centre? or the lofted ball into the centre? His shots hit row z almost everytime, he doesn't control his area, he's not quick enough, and is a championship midfielder. I'd love to see him succeed but he can't do the basics, Hammond is a much better player. Drinkwater is better, cambiasso is a completely different type of player, but also superior. IMO
dayday Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 We were bullied today and it showed. As mentioned we really missed Hammond and James as they would have dished it back We won't come up against a big physical side like them again this season,so we are best to forget it about today and move on.
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 What formation would you suggest with only 2 CMs available? I suggest we sign a new CM which I've been saying for about 6 months. These signings should have been lined up in December ready to get over the line EARLY, not 3 weeks into the window. James isn't good enough, Drinkwater is OK Hammond is OK at what he does King is OK but unless both players in that position have a good game, we lose... We need a CM and desperately.
TheDude Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Don't forget the Stoke end of season relegation party you invited us to a few months back. :-) Adios ladies

I agree with you, we've been crying out for new CMs and LB since the start of the season. Cambiasso does make a difference in CM when he is on but he isn't a 90 minute player in the premier league. I was wondering what formation you'd suggest we play today with today's squad selection as you said tactically we got it wrong against Stoke?
Babylon Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I'm afraid that's why we're going down. Last week we put in a very committed and positive performance and should have won by more. This week was a powderpuff attempt, and that is the Leicester we see far too often. We're just too inconsistent; a match for anyone on our day, but not the commitment or desire to get results when we really need them. Today was pathetic. Stoke wanted it more than us. That is unacceptable. We just didn't turn up. We keep letting matches pass us by. Almost all of our losses have one thing in common - how we start the match. After 20 minutes I knew we were in trouble today. There was no tempo, no purpose, no drive and no ideas. Pearson is a slow learner; we set out to play long balls to short players and slowed the game down when in possession whenever possible. This will inevitably lead to us surrendering momentum and losing the match. As much as Ulloa is a limited player in terms of his pace and agility, he's the only fvcker who's scored goals for us this season. Leaving him on the bench was a very poor move. Albrighton also didn't feature despite a MOTM performance (or close to) last weak. Another criminal decision. The central midfield missed the bite and quality of James, but that doesn't excuse half hearted displays from King & Drinkwater. Somebody said something interesting (in the loosest sense) on Radio Leicester on the way back. Pearson claimed earlier in the season that we were better than Burnley in every department. The caller said the table doesn't lie. He said Burnley did not add to their squad and neither did we, but their 4th bottom. He then contradicted himself by saying we need a midfielder and a defender. Now, I'm fully for strengthening the squad, but as I've been saying for months now, what is the excuse for Burnley being ahead of us? Cos it isn't recruitment. Pearson said we were better than Burnley in every department. We are, on paper. Which leads to only one answer - the application is not there. If we go down, which looks likely, it will be because we haven't done ourselves justice in too many matches. Right now, as sickening as it sounds, Dyche looks a better manager than Pearson. He's getting more out of a poorer squad. You've got to hand it to Burnley, they just want it more. Burnley were ahead of us for half if last season or has that slipped your mind. It's where you end up that counts.

st albans fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Flat flat flat The team, the tactics, even the crowd Put it down to a bad day at the office We have next week to put in a good performance against a weakened Spurs side Not the end of the world if we lose and a surprise win gets some momentum back
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 we've got 5 centre mids, we can't just keep signing more because some are injured, what a stupid suggestion. No we need to get rid of some that aren't good enough it's the transfer window you moron...
Callabinho Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Lost because we didn't have enough in midfield, we were never going to win playing 4-4-2, totally over powered in midfield against a sideways Stoke side. two poor performances from both sides to be honest, both with one clear cut chance and they had ****ing Bojan to slot it in, other than that they were all sideways. Missed a huge opportunity today to leap out of the bottom three, it seems as though we're destined to go down.

It's not championship manager. Maybe Nige thinks it is? He will be checking up on signing Freddy Adu soon and will soon be ****ing off on holiday for Shakespeare to deal with cause he can't be arsed to deal with the pressure in hope when he returns we will be out of relegation lol

tickler28 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Over reaction city on foxes talk tonight crikey. A 75% poll saying well stay up one week and then lose 0-1 and suddenly were dogshite. I am Leicesters worst critic at times but come on guys get a grip
Jolly Potter Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Should be beating average sides like Stoke, well if that's the case you'd be sitting in or around 9th position, afraid the table doesn't lie and you're bottom for a reason. If it was that easy to beat the "average" sides you refer to, especially teams below us we'd be second in the league with Man City. Losing to Leicester at home was an awful display from us, but in truth we didn't really have to do that much today.
Babylon Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Let's hope you're right. It doesn't mean we'll sign any!! How many times you need the management or other people need to say it's difficult to sign players in January.
MHC Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 How the **** did Matt Elliott give Konchesky MOTM? I suppose he just picked the first player that came to his head. Every single one of them were awful and none of them deserved MOTM. They should introduce clown of the match as that would be more relevant to our performance. Easily the most embarrassing performance of the Pearson era.
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 can't be anything much more depressing than having to sign up to an opposition team's forum just to entertain yourself on a saturday night.
Lasty Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I can't defend that performance any more than city could defend against Bojan.

smudger63 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 we've got 5 centre mids, we can't just keep signing more because some are injured, what a stupid suggestion. Its not about signing just another midfielder though is it! It`s about signing a midfielder that gives us something different, with the exception of Hammond, who i would class as pretty much a holding midfielder, all our other midfielders are pretty much the same type, we don`t really have a midfielder who can go past players, or a midfielder that can chip in with a few goals at this level, in fact i don`t think we really have a creative midfielder, that is up to premier league standard, in the present squad, so another midfielder would be a very welcome addition in my opinion.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Do one. Your fans were an embarrassment to your football club today. Is it possible to be an embarrassment to Stoke?
Jolly Potter Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Do one. Your fans were an embarrassment to your football club today. Really?
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 It doesn't mean we'll sign any!! How many times you need the management or other people need to say it's difficult to sign players in January. We know it's hard, so maybe we will just have to put the cash forward. I've learnt to ignore management saying anything prior to a window or speculation, anyone can say "it's hard to sign players in january" and then go back on that if the signings flop... but there are plenty of options about if we really want them. There are plenty of players out of contract in summer who we could sign now cheaply.
