foxes_rule1978 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Nugent and Vardy up top, what was that all about...
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Not sure what people mean when they say "we are down". It's literally not true, where's the actual argument? We are still in the premier league and there are 9 teams within 6 points of each other at the bottom. Nobody is saying it's inevitable we will stay up because it's obvious that we are in a proper relegation battle atm but how can you say we are already down? We're ostensibly still playing in the premier league and at the moment we're not so close to the point of no return that it is certain we will be relegated.
LCCFox96 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Poor today, just really poor. King and Drinkwater didn't deliver as much in central midfield as Hammond and James and particularly in the second half that cost us! Defence was fairly solid whilst going forward Nugent and Vardy were very average and Schlupp and Knockaert were good first half but then faded out. Agree with posters saying that Lawrence coming on was a bad decision, clearly not the right game for him, especially after Albrighton's positive performances vs Newcastle and vs Villa. As for the other substitutions; only we could have £18mil worth of striking talent on the pitch and not provide for them a single solitary chance. Kramaric fashioned one for himself and put a cross in for Knockaert (thought his movement was excellent though) and Ulloa never got going. Just really disappointing following 7/9 in the last 3 games.
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 We are down btw. Left ourselves way too much to do after the nightmare run, and we are not capable of producing the necessary quality to win enough games to pull ourselves above 3 teams. As has been said, Stoke were very average and we just let them win. And that was our most winnable game until March. We will keep trying because we have to, but its more or less over now. You can have a go at me about us only being 3 or 4 points from safety, but that means picking up 3 or 4 MORE points than the few teams above us over the remaining games, not just picking up 3 or 4 more points. We don't have the know how or the quality. Only positive is it looks like the owners will stick with Pearson when we go down. Should be another good campaign next season and we can definitely target top 2.
lgfualol Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 At least we are better than Burnley in every way. Hehe
RoboFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Genuinely one the most pitiful displays I can remember. The whole team was utterly embarrassing but Drinkwater was absolutely dire today. Poor bloke looked about 4 divisions out of his depth. Agreed, I really thought last season that Drinkwater could make the step up to the Premiership. It's a real shame, but he's proved a few times now that he just can't cut it at this level. We missed Hammond and James today. Badly.
1993fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 It baffles me why you'd leave 18m and the winger who'd just put two MOTM performances on the bounce on the bench in the biggest game of the season. Like johnny the fox says, those decisions get managers sacked. I hope they don't sake Nigel but he's pushing it fine when he does that. Plus it's not like he's tried to be clever with his tactics. He's just being ****ing arrogant. Pretty much this. Nigel's a Leicester hero for me, it's in our best interests to have him for the long term - but his tactics today were baffling.
whoareyaaa Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 When they scored is when our tails went down and we didn't look like we had any energy in the side. On the up side we are still only 3 points from 16th, its not the end of the world we still have enough games left to get out.
Tuna Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 At least we are better than Burnley in every way. We are, but in one crucial department we are not. The manager. That's the difference.
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Also Drinkwater did way more than King so god knows why he's getting all the stick. King did nothing.
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Somebody head butt Pearson for picking that team!
cityfanlee23 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Wish people will stop all the "Barely fit kramaric" crap... Do you really think he's been sat on the sofa and not trained with us on his own or with the squad? Every manager defends a new signing with the fitness rubbish. He should have started today and let him grow into the game with all the fans behind him when we were vocal, Not when we desperately need a goal, have lost all confidence, are supplying absolutely nothing and the crowd are silent... Vardy as impact sub when the "Unfit" kramaric tires... Albrighton on with ulloa partnering.
One Legged Beaver Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 More than matched them until they scored, then it just all went to pot.

We're ostensibly still playing in the premier league and at the moment we're not so close to the point of no return that it is certain we will be relegated. Despite the result and that shocking performance, you have to agree with this. The saving grace for us today was that we remain only 3 points from safety and all other teams around us - bar Palace - lost today (hopefully that continues with West Ham and Everton shitting on Hull and WBA respectively). Whilst this was an opportunity for us to move up the league pissed away, it is at least damage limitation. A minor consolation for us that won't be hanging around much longer if we play like that every week! But nonetheless we are far from down at the moment.
Guest ttfn Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Also Drinkwater did way more than King so god knows why he's getting all the stick. King did nothing. King was poor too. At least Drinkwater looked like he wanted the ball. But it's no good wanting the ball if you're just going to take heavy touches and get tackled or play teammates into trouble.
Fox4ever76 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yer... One game we HAD to win!!.. Get real. exactly!!
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 QPR have all the big boys at home and can't buy a point away, we won't finish bottom and we won't go down. Pearson will address today, just chill out
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 We will leave ourselves needing maybe 15 points from the last 8 games, at best. If you're still feeling positive let that sink in. 5 wins from 8 games or a maximum of 1 defeat from 8 games. It's over. PS Simpson is shite. SO naive at all times and no attacking threat.
EastAnglianFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I can't stop staring at 16th place in the table...Ahh what could have been!
Tuna Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 The three that went up last season, are going straight back down.
lgfualol Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Also Drinkwater did way more than King so god knows why he's getting all the stick. King did nothing. King was playing? Oh shit
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Typical of NP to fvck up tactically today Poor to lose at home to that lot Never mind upwards and onwards still time to climb the table
shade Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 the worst thing for me today was the noise from the fans!
