Leicester 0 - 1 Stoke post match

I believe midfield was our problem today. Without James & Hammond we're just not as good. I agree with Vardy being total rubbish, Nugent not much better. I'm confident we can pick up points against the bigger teams. We'll beat Arsenal for sure.

We always seem to at least try against the better teams.

Schlupp had a decent first half and proved he was worth selecting however bringing Lawrence on was baffling. Unless Albrighton was carrying a knock I don't understand why he wasn't brought on instead.

Played ok 1st half but looked toothless upfront, that's what you get when you start with Nugent and Vardy though.

2nd half we just looked clueless, no creation anywhere.

Poor game, very boring.

We hardly made Stoke look like Barca. They may have had a lot of possession, but much it was sideways passing that didn't really go anywhere. We just had no fight in midfield and were clueless up front, the defence was largely improved and Hamer's performances may make it hard for Kasper to force an immediate return.

Overall though, very few positives to take.

Do you think the correct starting 11 was selected?

Looking back, Konchesky and Wasilewski should've been benched. Dropping Ulloa was a bit odd, Kramaric on the bench I could understand as he still lacks fitness.

Then again, we showed up today with only two proper central midfielders. We need another new player for the middle of the park, that's for sure. We looked too lightweight with King and Drinkwater and them two did little to control the flow of the game. It all felt so aimless, from the back four all the way up to the strike pairing.

We were physically second-best all game. Only Schlupp caused any sort of problem, and even he was only a slight headache because Nugent and Vardy are so ridiculously blunt. We should've started with Ulloa. Albrighton should've come off the bench and we should maybe have gone with three on top when pushing for an equaliser because our midfield certainly weren't worrying Stoke...

Watched game via stream,

is pearson thick?   he leaves ulloa and kramaric on the bench, starts nugent and vardy,

common sense dictates he should have done the oppisite, start ulloa and kramaric,

and then switch after sixty minutes if needed,

also if he thinks sclupp is better than albrighton, he should not be managing a football club full stop.

having said that stoke did all the basics correct, they marked tight, harried, moved well off the ball

and grafted.

you can see kramaric is a class act, but we have to many overall weaknesses to make any difference.

honestly think pearson is out of his depth.

Why no Albrighton?

The issue that we play against top teams and just miss out, giving us a sense of hope. Then we stink out the place against sides like Burnley, Palace and Stoke.

We are down lads, accept it. If we can't score we can't win and if we can't beat Stoke we can't stay up. That's the perspective of a realist not an optimist.

Until it's mathematically not possible to stay up is when I will accept it.

We still have a transfer window to sign hopefully abit of quality in CM and LB and we still have about 18 games to go.

I'm sorry mate but the season still has plenty twists and turns, a more spirited performance next week and a hopefully 3 points against Man Utd and everyone will be sucking Pearson off again and telling everyone to 'keep the faith'

I'll concede that we were poor but to say we made Stoke look like Barcelona is way off - bar the goal and N'Zonzi's effort they didn't create anything to get worried about.

They simply didn't need to I guess. We were never going to score today. The second half was a training session for them.

We could have Costa and we would still lack the quality in the centre of the park to get him the ball and control possession ,... We are fickin shit at holding onto the ball.

I just struggle to see who's a game winner in are team atm

A realist wouldn't throw in the towel this early. All other teams immediately above us lost and the case can still be won. However, the longer we're playing without a proper established starting XI (be it down to injuries, suspensions or new arrivals), the more nervous fans become.

But perspective there still is. 16 games to go. Operation Survival starts here.

This is my 1st critic of Nigel, we needed a lift up a fillip...but Vardy and Nugent failed last week.

Nugent as a striker coming through, great idea, but cant finish.

Ulloa has had poor movement of late, but should have played with Albrighton, My opinion we should of started at home

with our new buy. This was the wrong team, though, King I would of still chosen, but he had a bad game, our whole midfield

has been and is failing us.Cambiasso alone will not be the savour, though Hammond and Cambiasso just might hold off the

Wolves.

Our luck, all other teams lost..WBA to play still .CP good run but only 6 pts in front in 12 th. We need a solid run and a midfield

to give us a chance.....most of all a goalscore. If we had took the 100% s all season, even in our poor matches we would of

taken more points lets hope kramaric can deliver, but he must now start.

Genuinely one the most pitiful displays I can remember. The whole team was utterly embarrassing but Drinkwater was absolutely dire today. Poor bloke looked about 4 divisions out of his depth.
