Half-time: Keenan King's early strike gives #lcfcu18s a 1-0 lead at the break against Chesterfield. City have hit the woodwork three times!

Ndukwu has been quality according to my mate. Anyone down there to confirm? Can't wait for this lad to progress.

Showed his potential in glimpses when he is virtually unstoppable

Ben Chilwell on a different level to anyone else on the pitch

Chilwell surely can't be far off professional first team football? Whether it be a loan out to a League One or Championship club or given a sniff in the cup for us? I'd start him on Saturday.

What makes you so sure?

He might be that good in quality (and let's face it - he hasn't got much to beat).

Both complete shit houses, it's exactly the game I'd pick him.

well they're not, they're both better than what we have and have played for England. It can damage players starting them too soon if they get torn apart. Maybe starting him against a league 2 team but not premier league and international players.

Couldn't disagree more.

I'd play him too. Southampton are keen to blood their best young players straight in and it works out for them time after time. No 'ohh he might get shown up, let him have a month at Luton first' before he inevitably falls into the footballing abyss.

Play him now. If he can't handle it then fine, give him a bit longer. If he can, great, sell for £30m.

Think it's Ndukwu

They look a talented bunch. It was chesterfield u18s but even so. Would love for one to play for the first team before they're 21..

It is, and watching him on that clip, reminded me of the great Keith Weller, with his dribbling ability,  quick feet, and the way he glided around the pitch.

There is no bigger compliment than that!

Obviously still only a kid, and a long way to go, but he looks very promising.

decent first half, terrible second half. take into account this was more or less the same Chesterfield team the U17's beat 4-0 previously. If you take the best example recently Southampton, their U21 are full of 18/19 year olds with the odd u17/u16. Our U21 are primarily as reserve team with the likes of Wood , Powell and even recently GTF. We need to progress our promising youngsters in higher football, again if you look at Southampton they are near the bottom of the U21 and U18 leagues as they play primarily youngsters to give experience and who cares about the league position its about giving young players experience.

In Chilwell, Choudhury and Ndukwu we have 3 fantastic prospects at this moment in time. I hope we have the skill and know how in getting the best out of them, failing that loan them to Southampton for a year.
