KFS Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Keep the pressure on those three whilst numbers 9, 10 and 11 slip under the radar. Our attack on those highlights looks very promising. Isn't the RB and England cap too? And the centre half, Cedrik something is just a beast Looks good
Soar Fox Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 In Chilwell, Choudhury and Ndukwu we have 3 fantastic prospects at this moment in time. I hope we have the skill and know how in getting the best out of them, failing that loan them to Southampton for a year. Would any of them 3 be good enough for the Championship next season?
Ric Flair Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Would any of them 3 be good enough for the Championship next season? Chilwell could play there now in my opinion. Choudhury is raw but very strong so might adapt, Layton is still only 16 so it'd be a big jump but he has the skill and ability. The next year could see him really fast track and who knows?

I need to stop reading your posts about out youth prospects, because all I end up thinking is, we've got 3 top level stars in our academy. It's Tomi Petrescu and Wesolowski all over again.

Our academy is so much better in the last decade and I think we'll start to reap the rewards.

Chillers is already number one left back for me next season and I've not even seen him play!
Fox in the Forest Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Enjoying watching this. We have some pretty talented kids against their peers & can only be positive for the future. 2-0 up@ HT deservedly.

lgfualol Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Just watched most of it. Chilwell, Keenan King and Choudhury looked really great. All the rest did too but those three stood out for me.
Fox in the Forest Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Tbf, we were better than the amazing "Southampton Academy" in every department. Needs time to bear fruit though...
steveherbe Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Just got back, it was bloody cold. We've got some great talent, keeper excellent, as were the 2 centre backs, they are HUGE - Chilwell is good but not ready for 1st team yet. Choudruy is just what we need, sits in front of the back 4, wins everything, he will be a star, hope its for us. King up front is handy, although he missed a couple of late chances. Loads of City there, when the 1st goal went in, half the stand stood up and cheered. We got the messing with the enemy flag up, just received a couple of photos from the youtube stream of it. Good night out, and they do chicken balti pies - I may convert to a Saints fan.
C-man Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Next round vs Birmingham at home has to be played before 21/2. Would be smart of the club to have the game played on Saturday 14/2 to try and get a good crowd in!
steveherbe Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Shook hands with young Hamza afterwards, nice lad. Good of the boys to come over to their families, friends and fans afterwards. Hope they stay like that and dont get all billy big bollox later on. Credit to our club.

Stadt Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Don't Southampton just chuck all of their (really) young players in to the starting line ups to develop them rather than win, I read somewhere that they don't fare that well in the youth leagues because of this.
LCFC FOX Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 lets go down and make some noise for the lads in the next round!
