Dr The Singh Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Villa remind me of Wigan in recent years. You could even say, for those with longer memories, Coventry. They've been dicing with death for a good few seasons now and will eventually run out of luck. Don't think West Brom are out of it either, they have a truly vile run in. The facts is we have only won 2 games at home and Pearson still boggles us with team selection and tactics, which leads on a majority to losses, hence regardless of run in, squad etc, shit management will always trump all of that!!
Benguin Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 It's time for Villa to stop adding up the numbers in the PL. I am sure they'll go down this year
MHC Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 Yer, Villa in big danger.. Good news for us!! Leicester, Hull, QPR, Aston Villa, Burnley and Sunderland. Three of those will get relegated. We aren't down yet but it's looking bleak.
kingcarr21 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 the one good memory I have against Palace was that wonder goal from Barry Hayles and foolishly thinking there is no way we will get relegated. i can think of another good memory
MHC Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 the one good memory I have against Palace was that wonder goal from Barry Hayles and foolishly thinking there is no way we will get relegated. Play off final 96?

Nothing beats generalisations - who needs distinct and succinct analysis for each game and highlighting the fact that just last week he simply had to tamper with the formation (once more) due to injuries, absences and suspensions?
palace123 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Crystal Palace fan here in peace. Although I have a Leicetser side (my partner and her family) and go to as many Leicteser games as I do Palace. I was at the Stoke game and like the other games, felt you were in it and was just unlucky. It's weird that in th championship 4 points is nothing but in the EPL some fans on here make 4 points sound like 20. I still feel Leicester will be fine and that Villa (who somehow beat Palace at Selhurst park), Hull and either us or QPR will go down. With Palace what do you get......Answer NO IDEA So unpredictable, the fans do not know what to expect. All teams have to do is mark Zaha/Punchon and Belosie out the game and you will win. EVERTHING comes from wide. The Burnely game was an assist from Zaha, and Punch got a goal and assist. You may need to keep an eye on Gayle as he scores goals but does nothing else. He dosent always get a game becuase you forget he is playing all the time, but he averages a goal every 100 mins this season. I'll be at the KP and I hope it will be a great game. It will be strange sitting in the away end when i'm normally in the home end. fingers crossed we both stay up, two good clubs with great support and you cant beat the dry dock for a cheeky burger before ko. You dont sound like much a palace fan to me, you cant even spell our players names!
5waller5 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Hi, I'm a Palace fan too and I think Leicester will Boss this game and win 5-0.
foxfanazer Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 You dont sound like much a palace fan to me, you cant even spell our players names! If that's the criteria for being a fan you won't find many Leicester fans on here
HitchinFox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 If that's the criteria for being a fan you won't find many Leicester fans on here Here's my line up for Palace game: 1. Scmheilech 2. Da Late 3. Conckesky 4. Whatsitaboutski 5. More 6. Champilasso 7. Mazherz 8. Knhonkcaert 9. Krammaric 10. Olay 11. Schlepp Subs: Bakayayagogo and Woods
maxwelld_ Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Stoke was a "must" win . How many more must wins do we have left
Lionheart Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 From what I've seen of Palace recently on MOTD they are better than us at the moment!
weller54 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 From what I've seen of Palace recently on MOTD they are better than us at the moment! Yes, they've got pace and power.. Something we lack.. Cannot see us beating them.. But can only hope!
weller54 Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Leicester, Hull, QPR, Aston Villa, Burnley and Sunderland. Three of those will get relegated. We aren't down yet but it's looking bleak. Think it's definitely Hull and QPR.. It's just whether we can get enough points now to finish above possibly Villa... My fear is after the next 4/5 tough games we have that we're going to be cast adrift!?... Need to keep safety within 3-5 points of reach!!

Need to keep safety within 3-5 points of reach!!This is the "relegation battle" table after the next five games according to a predictor I did.12th West Brom 28 13th Crystal Palace 28 14th Everton 27 15th Aston Villa 26 16th Sunderland 25 17th Hull 24 18th QPR 23 19th Burnley 21 20th Leicester 20 Only 4 points adrift with 11 matches remaining, mostly against the teams around us. Our fate would still remain in our hands if my prediction turns out to be accurate, we just have to make sure we deliver in those final 11 matches. If we do we will stay up and if we don't we will be relegated, simple. Edit: For the record, I think we will finish with 37 points.

I'm going for wins against everton and palace
MHC Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 I think well get at least 5 points out of the next 5 games. I'm going for wins against everton and palace I had those two down for a draw with us to pull of a cheeky 1-0 against Chelsea but changed it to a spirited draw.
RokoNZ Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 I'm expecting a result against Man U. Stoke was a bad performance, but I would expect a big improvement against Spurs leading into that game. A couple of goals in the cup would give the team a massive boost. Plus it's another couple of weeks so their might be a couple of the injured players back too, maybe a new face or 2 as well
Raj Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Even if we lose to Palace we will get another game sooner rather than later in which we will be entiched by a similarly sounding enthralling thread just with a different opposition name in front of it!!!
Suffolk exile Posted 21 January 2015 Posted 21 January 2015 Looking at our run in - I still believe that we can get the necessary points. If we can get Kram to hit the ground running, then his goals will give the whole squad a huge lift and with it belief. I still maintain that there are worse sides than us, the Stoke result has just reminded us that we are in PL and as such there are no easy games!

We really do need three points from this one. Agreed. Anyone know the stats between the two sides? They always seem to get the better of us.
Babylon Posted 22 January 2015 Posted 22 January 2015 Good job we beat Newcastle as James misses the spurs cup game rather than Palace!
