Jakemoore Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 I'm fairly sure that this has been discussed before but I just want to get up to date opinions. The guy winds me up. He got booked today for an arm in the face of a Spurs player. I could tell from my position that he hadn't used his elbow and wasn't being aggressive, but its just such a weird postion for a CB to have his arms in. Wasyl does this so regularly, its going to cost us big time one day, i can't believe it hasn't in the past. I get that he's a decent defender and that with him in the team we have stopped conceding lots of goals, but, his flailing arms will cost us. What do the majority think? Is he a big risk....or a nailed on starter?
Jakemoore Posted 24 January 2015 Author Posted 24 January 2015 Wasyl is coming for you! I'd rather fight Charles Bronson than Wasyl...
Stadt Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 You've contradicted yourself. We're better in the in the long run with him but he might one day just get sent off which may or may not cost us? I think playing our other centre backs (Like Liam, who y'know almost cost us by making a poor tackle) will cause us more problems than some speculation.

Yeah, maybe but Liam Moore doesn't make silly tackles regularly. Wasyl throws his arms in opposition faces on a weekly basis.
hackneyfox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 The flailing arms means he's always likely to get booked, he's not as effective as he should be after that.
Charl91 Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Let's be honest, he should have had at least a couple of reds already. For all we complain about our shitty luck with ref's (which has been shitty, admittedly), we've been lucky with Was.
Stadt Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Yeah, maybe but Liam Moore doesn't make silly tackles regularly. Wasyl throws his arms in opposition faces on a weekly basis. For a walking red card he doesn't get sent off much, its a slight concern but whilst he gets away with it there isn't much point worrying about that.
hackneyfox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Wasyl before Moore every week please. well until the inevitable suspension.
Richard Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 We've been saying for 18 months now that he'll cost us sometime. Still yet to happen.
conLAD logan Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 We've been saying for 18 months now that he'll cost us sometime. Still yet to happen.Refs too scared to send him off, In a way I'd love to see his reaction
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Personally love the guy. About time we had someone in being a bit nasty. He knows what hes doing and hes still yet to get done for it
FireFox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 He isn't "a walking red card," he is a "the refs are too afraid to give him a red card." As proved by last week when he fouled Stoke's keeper.
leicesterisme Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 How long can this 'he's gonna cost us' bullshit go on for, it hasn't cost us yet and he's been here for over a season? He's our best defender by some way, mans an absolute rock.
Itsthejoeker Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Jesus wept, the guys has only 3 red cards in a career spanning 413 appearances! Hardly a walking red card if you ask me. Oh, and only 93 yellows, 1 in 4 isn't too bad for someone who likes to play rough if you ask me.
MHC Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Wasilewski has been solid for us this season even if he is probably a machine sent from the future. He's an aggressive defender, I'll give you that but I reckon he's definitely sorted our defence out a bit, we defend better with him and Morgan at the back. I bet he must scare some of the opposition players a bit, I could imagine Jermain Defoe being terrified of him for some reason.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Cost us less than Moore that's for sure
VLC86 Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Laughable how much people slate Wasyl yet bum Liam Moore. One is a bomb scare, the other isn't and I don't need to explain which one goes with which.
steveherbe Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Was is the best player in our team. 11 Was's, we wouldnt be in the crap we are now. My player of the season so far, along with young MarkS.
dogadug Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Wasyl contender for player of the season in the games he's played imo
Lionheart Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Without him in our defence we would be f****d!
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 24 January 2015 Posted 24 January 2015 Wouldn't like to be the Sharpe's Fox in the parallel universe in which the Wasyl of that timeline has got nineteen red cards.
